ClientLogic plans to add jobs

The local ClientLogic call center plans to add 150 to 200 or more workers over the next few months following a merger with outsourcing company Sitel Corp., the head of local operations says.

Don't you know anybody who used to work at Client Logic, Transplanted? There's not a whole lot of people who work there, but there's a ton of people who used to work there. If you last 6 months at Client Logic, it proves you're a masochist.

I've talk to a number of people that used to work at client logic, it is a meat grinder and none of them regret tell them to go pound sand.

It's the latter, mostly, though he has been searching for something that pays that much for the last two years, and hasn't had any luck. Since we can't afford a pay cut, there he stays.

I've worked there for almost 2 years. It is a perpetual meat grinder. They lead you to believe you can go places. Then when you get there they spit you out back down to the phones. It's a harsh place to keep your head up. We don't know where the merge with this new company is going to take us. I just hope I have a job in the end. They pay really good for the area we're in. I can't afford to work for minimum wage.

i'm currently working for the philippine site and to tell you the truth, i'm just as unhappy as most of the people around here. we have a lot of other centers within the country and we would hav, in a heart beat, gone there. unfortunatley when i had applied for the posiotion i was but an undergraduate and was in desperate search of any paying job. little did i know there was a non compete clause contract.
i and my friends couldnt leave and avoid going hungry since we couldnt apply for another job at another center for a whole year!
the merge with sitel did jack
its still the same $#!7
any body have any idea on how to bypass that freaking non compete clause contract?
aside from that, we got highly intelligent people working on the floor, and yes its true they promise a whole lot of promotions available to you(only if your willing to suck egg) otherwise if you dont know anyone from higher management your basically sunk and stuck. we lose a good number of people everyday, but that doesnt stop the company from hiring new suckers everyday.

They answer phones for their "clients." Currently, their clients are two banks and a cellphone company. For the bank, they help people with questions about their accounts (in other words, tell them they can't refund their overdrafts), and the cellphone part answers questions about bills, activates the phones, stuff like that.

As an update on my earlier complaint, they'd been forcing my husband to work on Sundays for the last couple of months, even though he said that he's morally obligated to go to church on Sundays. They tried to force it anyway, so he went to HR. The situation is finally ironed out, but a supervisor changed his job responsibilities as soon as the Sunday issue was fixed, as retribution.

They're just asking for trouble with that ...

I'm almost convinced that everyone who ever wanted to work for ClientLogic, has already worked there at one time or another.
And no one I know would even CONSIDER ever working for them again. Their management is soooooo insular and amazingly immature. If you're not a friend or booty buddy of the management team, no amount of talent or perseverance will lead to promotion or long term job satisfaction. Lots of great folks have tried to work for them, but this company just throws them away.. and never looks back. ClientLogic.. the corporate moral equivalent of SPAMMERS. Just plain evil......

My job just cut 300 workers to outsource to Client Logic, it's nice to know that the company our jobs are going to has such 'commendable' employee's. To AliceTheOwl, it sounds like your husband needs to find another field to work in, there are alot better companies out there, trust me.

So you mean that the Derby site is still open? I heard it closed and loads of people lost their jobs back at Christmas 2005. Im glad I got out when I did. I moved 140 miles from derby where they had another clientlogic. I was also offered a job with another company. Im tellin you now,I definately made the right decision by chosing not to continue my employment with CL. All I can say is dont let the ******** grind you down.

I work for Sitel, and they suck!! Probably worse then CL. The merge has done nothing on our end either except change the job titles
