New lead fear for consumers: Dental work

In the wake of a Midwestern woman being sickened by lead-tainted dental work that was outsourced to China, consumers are being asked to inquire about the origins of their crowns, veneers, bridges and dentures.

t is laughable how the buck keeps shifting around as everyone scrambles to 'pass it on' with responsibility being this authorities, or that agencies, yada yada. Truth is, a Dentist is a member of the community he practices in. He is dependent upon those in his area for his livlihood. Yet, with outsourcing he is not a very good citizen in supporting the very craftsman, laboratories who are in his community by seeking out 'cheaper' oral appiances abroad for profit. He is in essence saying, " these people are fine for me to make a living from, but I have nothing to give back in support of my community". And, its not the technician who bear the responsiblity anymore then any craftsperson today who is being outsourced for profit magins.

Is it really true? I can't believe it myself, I mean this revelation gives me more fear about dentists. Because of it, the more the reason it gives me not to ever go to a dentist.>_<
