My experience with Mach.com is a scam when you are not a member then you get more than 10 letters a day as soon as you are a member no mail or even answers so my meaning is this is a scam as soon that they have your money they do not care they same with xxx dating they are all the same.

What out for a Matthew Cutriss / James McCoy / Adam Todd - they have trolling around on eharmony RSVP etc.

Same story, working on a oil rig in the North Sea, Engineer, credit card compromised after he sends flowers etc. Found another 4 victims from a website I put up www.oilrigscams.com - all victims are great friends now but please be careful of this guy - stole photos from another person on match.com and used them as his profile

website was http://www.theoilrigscams.com/index.html sorry do not even know my own website.

This guy has been scamming women in Australia and so far managed to get over $10000 out of his victims.

He is very good, long romantic emails, sends flowers - found out he was using other victims credit cards to send the flowers.

Wow, am I glad I found this site while googling someone who seemed just too good to be true on kiss.com and found his name and similar setup with somebody else here. He said his name was Doug Ernest and that he was an art dealer in Alexandria, Virginia. One pic posted, gorgeous, talking about relocating two messages in, calling me dear, wanted to IM on Yahoo right away. I told him I couldn't because of software problems, and he said, okay, give me your email address then. That's when it hit me. OMG something is very wrong here. Can no one be trusted anymore? Beware of heartoflove9090 on kiss.com

Anyone had contact with Robert Moore from San Diego. Structural engineer working in Cambodia. Widower, parents killed by drunk driver. Was mugged on way home from work. Stole his wallet, phone, laptop and shoes. Needs money to buy airline ticket and pay fines before he can come back to San Diego.

A real charmer and will steal your heart in just a few emails. Match.com with photo and profile but disappeared in a week because "he found me".

I was just scammed by a man who calls himself Mark Bradley Brown, 57 from Norway. He says his great grandfather is Scottish. He's an engineer, supposedly living in Salt Lake City but two weeks after exchanging emails, he got a contract in Ghana to repair or install oil rigs. He told me he loved me in the 7th email. Over a 40 day period he wrote 50 of the most beautiful letters I have ever received. Sent 30 long stemmed lavendar roses from Florida and a Gund Teddy Bear. Told me he was coming here to be with me in June for 2-3 months and take me to Norway to meet his family. On April 19 his computer crashed and he said his project had come to a standstill and he would need to find a new computer but they just had crap over there. I offered to help. He then told me to buy an $1800 Apple macbook and an iphonegs unplugged.(This phone can't be traced.) The shipping alone was going to cost $488. He said he would send me $2500. I told him to wire it via Western Union but that I would not ship the computer until his check had cleared. Interestingly, he then went to find a Western Union office and told me that they told him that money can be wired into Ghana from the US but not out of Ghana to the US. Within 24 hours the romance was over. I didn't lose any money but had turned down projects at work that were going to overlap his visit. Match.com says they will not tell me the results of their investigation to protect his privacy. On another site, that wanted me to subscribe, they stated that his email address could be found on 78 sites. He had sent me gorgeous photos of him as a 4 year old, with his mom, with his daughter and grandkids, on the beach in Ghana and at an art market there. He was a handsome Scandinavian-looking man. But he could have been a Nigerian since they have overrun Ghana. Has anybody else encountered this man?
i encountered him for the last 2 weeks. Hot emails and we were going to meet tomorrow and he got a contract in Africa. Over it! Got the same picture with his mother and supposed cousins very hot and handsome!

Lisa, thank God for you. Unfortunately, after I wrote this blog, the man convinced me I was wrong and I continued on with him. It's been 16 months since we first corresponded. I am out $7,000. He wrote me an angry email today because he had just seen the post from April 25, 2012. Perhaps you are the one who alerted him to it. Thank you for finally bringing me closure.

Mom died in Jamuary. Dad is 79 and has already been scammed by a group in Ghana. Now he tells us he has met "Victoria" who lives in Dallas and is from the Philippines. Met her on match.com . These dating websites need to be shut down. They fell in love after 3 conversations. Makes me sick.

i am hopeful for the site as a busy professional it is a way to meet people. I have my daughter help me with communications however the scammers are out there. I hope you and your father can work together on it. It is a lot of work and you must safeguard privacy... Good luck to both of you! Remember the scammers are very good!
