Hi honey, welcome back to work, i want to let you know, that Paul is fine now, we are ready to leave Africa now , but right now we are facing a little problem,  I was at the hospital this morning and the doctor told me that Paul is strong enough and healthy to be discharged from the hospital, and the Hospital management gave me a Bill of $750 dollars, as charges for treatment, drugs, food, accommodation, LAB-TEST, e.t.c, which to me was quite expensive. I have tried to get money from my Visa credit card to pay the bills but it seems not to be working here in Nigeria(Africa). I have tried to contact every means i could , but no result yet, I have already spent almost all the cash i came with on Goods, shipping cost, and on Flight tickets , I am just left with $450 dollars. So, i think you are the last option i have,  I need to borrow about $300USD from you to enable me pay up the balance hospital bills, so that the doctor can discharge Paul from the hospital, I don't want this to be a set back for us. I will pay you back as soon as i access my Visa card.  I feel so ashamed that I am asking you for this, I never expected to be in such a situation.honey ,please, lets help each other. Once this is settled, we can then think of making our trip . Baby , you don't have to worry, i will pay you back as soon as we meet. I have contacted my bank in the USA and they told me that my credit card will work in your country so you don't have to be afraid.  I really need your assistance on this and i promise you i will never forget this. I love you honey and thanks for been there for me and Paul. I expect your reply  immediately. thanks, I love you Steve rolland.
i found him in american latin cupid.com
his email you from [email protected] this as you can see is a scam. he said has a son who calls paul is widower after two weeks of conversation this was he last email

hello,
i'm new to online dating and i just ran across a very curious girl. she sent me a message on match.com professing interest in me and how much she liked my profile. and she suggest i might email her to her yahoo address instead of through match.com .
after reading that initial match.com message, i tried clicking on her profile but it is unavailable (though her thumbnail pic still shows up in my "connections" page).
but i'm curious...her first message was very nice...the thumbnail looks good (from what i can see). so i email her yahoo address. we learn abit about eachother. she say she was born in the states. grew up in the UK. now resides in the same state as me in a city an hour or so away. she's modeling right now in nigeria...but is coming back home in one week. she plans to quit modeling.
we've exchanged 7-8 long emails in the last 2 weeks or so. and she's coming back home in one week. and wants to meet me when she gets back. no signs of typical scams...like mentions of money or tragedy or anything like that.
the thing that makes me suspicious is that her grammar is a bit off every once in a while...she's fallen for me far to quickly...she attributed some said things to me that i never said...one email contained a portion of stuff that was plagarized and used as her own...
what do you guys think? should i meet this person? or will that just wind me up in a body bag?
These sites have one single purpose: to make you pay and to keep you paying. 90% profiles are fakes. Try POF, okCupid or MotelDate.com , if you're interested in meeting people quickly.

Met this guy on ChristianMingle.com . Asked me to start emailing him off the site. Then he befriended me on facebook. His profile on dating site said he was from broken arrow ok. He was working on a shell platform in the UK. Livd in London and had a 5 year old names Clara. Wife had died in Child birth 3 years ago. Soon started instant messaging. Then he befriend me again on facebook but this time his profile was different. No Shell logo. And was born in Jamiaca,New York and went to Jamaica High School. Whenn I asked him about this he said that he had livd in New York for a while. But studied in Saudia Arabi at King Fahd University for Petrolium. Did jive but thought he would eventually hang himself. Sure did. 2 days later texted that he hadn't heard from daughter or nanny and was really worried. Next day texted me and said Clara was really sick and needed medicine and food. He had no banks or financial institute out on platform. Didn't know what he was going to do. I told him I had no money and couldn't help him. Then 8 hours later contacted me and said he need my help and could I send some money? Told him no and he tried o lay a guilt trip on me that if Clara was my daughter I would do anything to help. Told him no and he said I was wicked. Told him sorry but no. Then he told mme no problem and take care. These gus really have a good gift if they would only use it contstuctively. So glad I had read some of the other postings. To know that he was doing it to others and dumb enough to use the same name and basically the same story. If he contacts you he went by rosebud0326 on the dating site.

I have a friend who met a man on Match last fall. Apparently he is a widower and his wife and daughter died in a car accident. She hasn't actually met him yet because he is an architect in Turkey and is finishing up a project (hoping to be home in March). She did tell me she skyped with him though. It totally sounds like a scam to me, but it threw me when she said she has skyped with him. What are the opinions out there?
He was supposed to come home at Christmas and meet her but things were delayed in construction. Apparently she received a phone call from his mother who was concerned that she wouldn't see him because he would be spending his Christmas with my friend. Advice?
What is the guys name I am talking to someone in Turkey with a very similar background he wife and son died in a car accident and his mother died in child birth...

I met a guy on Match.com in November 2012, who said he was a widower lived in Sarasota but was raised in Norway, his wife and seven year old son died in 2009 in a car accident. He left for Turkey last fall he is an Engineer/Architect. He cannot come home because he needs money to pay for his equipment and his accommodation, he also asked for my Iphone 4. He will not send pictures, but I have talked to him on the phone several times, his accent is real. He says his mom died in child birth and his dad allowed him to grow up in foster care. I feel strongly that he may be the same guy as Mel's friend. I will not give out his name until I confirm this is in fact a scam. He keeps making me promises and never delivers. I am not sending money I just want to call him on this if anyone else is talking to him, I have four months into this and I need closer...

Avoids personal questions, and actually we fought about it, then he all sweet again. He supposedly goes to church, and was going to meet him at one, should have. He is three hours away, can't access property taxes online for that county, road trip!!! Yup sweet as apple pie. Johnson Moore, german, moved there at 12, daughter lisa. What kept me from believing it was a scam he sent more than one pic and two with daughter. Stupid is I. Now my turn to have fun. Thanks all

Has anyone been contacted by a man going by the name of "Tom Robinson" on Match.com . He apparently lost his wife and daughter in a car accident. Claims that he lives in New York city but travels quite a bit to other countries as a Petroleum Chemical Engineer and part-time geologist. His pics are of this absolutely gorgeous man with a British accent. Both his parents are dead and has no friends or family. Has now traveled to Turkey for bus. Told me he loved me within 2 days and wants to take care of me financially. Also wants to marry me and adopt a child. Gave me quite a story; but don't have any of his info; no address. Has not asked for money as of yet. Any comments?

Anyone hear of a Amy Horton, [email protected] Haven't had the money thing yet but she's from grand rapids grew up in switzerland and now lives in Texas. She works for the world health organization and is doing a 3 month trip in Ghana. We have texted back and forth. I was thinking it was a little odd that she was searching on match.com in Alaska when she is from Texas. The area code for her cell is a Texas area code.

Beware of John Younker, PhD, from Houston Texas. He is a gigolo. I was conned into becoming his 6th wife (said only 2 previous marriages). He has Asperger's Syndrome, a liar and abusive. Met him on match.com - but he is on several dating sites looking for his next victim. In the beginning, he can charm birds out of the trees, then when the ring goes on the finger, his real abusive self surfaces. He took me for alot and I regret the day I ever met him. Sick, sick man.

Match is full of scammers, again they are all widow/widower, even have pics with kids so you feel real sympathetic, some are model gorgeous, some are normal, they all have their accounts expiring today and want to connect outside of match right away, I even found one in construction that had a "business" website with the same photos up. I know it was a scam as i did a lot of research and it turned out "it" was impersonating some poor schmuck... the english and grammar is always poor. He lived in the same city and was "too busy" to meet for coffee but wanted an online relationship!... I asked him for a copy of his drivers license to prove he was who he said he was and he asked why!... his profile of course had already disappeared off match. I get so many hits by widows now I am sure i have been "targeted".. watch out for them, if they want to leave and get personal email don't converse and report them. its the only way.

Hi I read your post and my mom has been contacted by the same guy. I would like to know if he asked you for money. He asked my mom for it claiming he was stabbed in turkey and they took $120,000. Please respond as soon as possible when you can. I really would like to tell my mom if anything. Thank you.
