Gasoline is taxed food is not. Gasoline with alcohol has less energy so you use more to go the same distance. The government of today likes more taxes and this is a win win for them......

Brent 49, when you factor in the Federal government's "ethanol blending tax credit" paid to fuel distributor/gas companies + consider the other numerous government "ethanol" subsidies, grants, tax credits paid (to farmers, ethanol producers, gas stations, etc.) with public (tax-payer supported) funds over the past decade or so, I would expect ethanol is a huge expense (LOSS) to our government, not gain.

Sunoco in Bath does not have stickers on the pumps. I thought by law they had to notify you. Any other places with no stickers?
Ethanol is for drinking not for burning.
Corn is for eating not for burning.
Ethanol laced automotive fuel means more expensive food and transportation, meaning those on the margin of world society will die.
PA Pennsylvania DOES require E10 sticker labeling of all gas pumps when gas contains ethanol alcohol- About 12 states still do NOT require any labeling (consumer would need to test gas themselves to confirm if pump has or does not have ethanol added). More info: By PA law E10 pump sticker must "be conveyed in bold block lettering at least 1/4" in height on labels that appear on both sides of dispenser...". BTW, I was told that since end of Sept. 2010 non-ethanol fuel is no longer being distributed (sold) at any stations in Bethlehem/Allentown area.

They now have ethanol in it and the one on Center and Elizabeth Avenues. There is a station in Nazareth that is ethanol free. I go to Kutztown on business and there is a station on Main St.(American Gas) that is ethanol free. New note I heard that the govt. is going to raise the % of ethanol to 15%.

The non-ethanol stations in PA are rapidly dwindling as they are in all other U.S. states.
The EPA did approve of a new higher ethanol gas type called E15, which contains 15% ethanol, 50% more ethanol that approved or warranted by all conventional engine manufacturers,(E10).

If the public wants ethanol-free fuel types to be available in the future, you MUST speak-out and petition the EPA (and others involved in laws and distribution of ethanol gas blends (gasahol) to protect your right to appropriate fuel choices at the pump, which are best for your engines.

factsonly is precisely correct. there is no global warming and this has purely been a scam by Gore and his idiot follower to make money. Gore is also an officer of the company that is trying to shove carbon credit down our throats..and that idiot Obama is trying to push through in the Cap and Trade Bill. It is all pure rubbish...for greed and money...meanwhile we suffer the consequences of ethanol which is a solvent the damage it does to all vehicles as well as we have to burn more fuel by quantity in order to get the same amount of energy to we would have with gasoline with MTBE. No doubt some crooks were heavily invested in the commodities markets. You can also thank those idiots in our government for driving the price of beef sky-high because of the increased prices on grain and corn used to produce ethanol. So what have this accomplished? NOTHING GOOD for any of us...except those who are making a ton of $$ from these scams.

For those still checking here for ethanol-free stations (the thread topic), the quickest, most accurate way to find a station is to call the fuel distributor(s) in your area and ask them "Where did they deliver ethanol-free fuel to this week?"
We have a resource page on our site with links to websites that list non-ethanol stations...
website www. address + page= find_ethanol_free_gasoline.htm l
Remember always test fuel to confirm it is ethanol-free, before purchase -Since those websites listed may not be updated often enough and most public stations are rapidly switching to E10 blends. To assure future availability of ethanol free gasoline in all neighborhoods sign Fuel-Testers sponsored petition - Includes engine type and "Why" you require gas without alcohol and "WHAT problems you've personally experienced with (contaminated) E10 gas". When you support exactly why you require non-ethanol "pure gas", I'm sure the EPA and others will start listening...
Let them put ethanol in flex fuel E85, and leave the rest of us to chose and buy gas without alcohol, when needed.

See my prior post trying to bring this thread back on topic to help others find "ethanol-free" gasoline and to encourage all to petition for "Ethanol-Free Fuel Choice" so they can maintain the right to buy & choose the gas type that is best for their engines...

But I had to add: I would be proud if you called "me" a "tree-hugger" - Protecting our environment, jobs/economy and national security is very important to me and my company (and hopefully most other Americans)...But E10 and other low-blends of ethanol in conventional gas is a complete SCAM without benefits -E10 ethanol has only caused unnecessary expense, inconvenience and aggravation -

E10 and new E15 has certainly succeeded at turning-off many (including me, a proud tree-hugger) to "everything ethanol" - E85 has some benefits, but right now I'm counting on other alternative fuels and conservation (using less gas with energy efficient engines, etc.) to solve the real problems.
-The ethanol lobbyists are out-of-control and need to be reigned back to do what's best for consumers ansd our country -(All "they" seem interested in is increasing profits $$$ for ethanol producers-
They = ACE (American Coalition for Ethanol), Growth Energy, Ethanol Market LLC and other "pro-ethanol" groups...I suppose we should include the EPA too, since they've lost all prospective on how ethanol was supposed to reduce pollution and our dependency on foreign oil -
(RFS PLAN FAILED over past decade)- Let's hope it gets back on track before we're 100% dependent on foreign oil Currently at about 70%!-And Americans are so clueless that they're wondering why our economy is crashing??? Energy independence is a start in the right direction, BUT NOT WITH ETHANOL - It will never be the solution (long term).

1> No global warming..myth in it's finest...BUT
2> If there was global warming, producing ethanol takes MORE energy and creates MORE pollution in the production, even before you use it in the car, when then reduces gas mileage....
3>It destroys fuel pumps with the thick slug and higher temp, causing more parts to be needed and thus more energy.
SO much for "green"
I too am looking for stations that DO NOT USE Ethanol. I want to keep my cars working at the best possible efficiency for pollution sake.

Ethanol has nothing to do with global warming, as it produces similar amounts of CO2 as gasoline when it burns. What is true is that a gallon of ethanol contains less BTU's than a gallon of gasoline, so it robs your car of some performance. As most ethanol is made from corn, I have a BIG problem of essentially taking a food item for cattle and turning it into a fuel.

Al gore changed his mind about ethanol. Drops fuel mileage 15% that's a lot and its worse for environment so what's the point? In our town we have several with no ethanol. That is where I go

Some peope are saying that it is impossible to find gas with no ethanol but that is not true. I own a gas station in Rocky Mount, VA and we do not have any ethanol in our gas... Non Ethanol gas is definetely not impossible to find. I am thinking about getting Ethanol in our gas though because people keep complaining about our gas prices they say they would rather get it at sheetz for only .06 cents cheaper.

I think it is definetely worth it to pay .06 more for Non Ethanol gas you will save much more in the long run

All I want is s station that gives me the option whether or not I wish to use ethanol. My truck is new and takes the ethanol fuel but I do not want it for my small engine yard tools. Who sells it without ethanol and I REALLY don't need a "green" answer because I consider "green" answers brown as in s--t.
Thanks

I want to buy pure gasoline for the following reasons: to avoid the several negative effects of the Federally-mandated program ie. higher food prices, unfair subsidizing of farmers, increased air pollution and motor vehicle fuel system damage and fuel milage loss!
There is a petition for the abatement of ethanol; please take a minute to sign and pass along.
The first paragraph of this posting is that which I wrote and entered in the "reason for signing the petition" field. Feel free to copy and use it.
The website has a list of enthanol-free gasoline stations, but to be certain, one might have to use a test kit.--What a lousey Federal government that we have!
