The difference between the USA and 3rd world (two classes) is that Americans have opportunity. However, with Obamaism, it is easier to put your hand out as they redistribute the wealth and take control of our lives.

I guess Management Did not THINK -- about giving an ADAPTER with each headset that they made us sign for. Hello!- Then you would not have the problem with adapters missing. If the people were responsible for them , they would not lose them. But I guess this concept is over their heads. They would rather have the poor Team Leads run around each shift looking for equipment for RIS. Losing production time also. THANK GOD CYCLE IS OVER!!!

Yes - things do cost more here, but Americans also expect a lot more. Cells phones, Cable TV, Internet Access, two cars ( even a car) are expectations in America. Take a look at these folks in other countries and what they have and one can understand their zeal to work for less. Even doubling their standard of living keeps them well below our own. Before we bemoan the loss of the American way of life we should consider if perhaps we underappreciate what we have. Not preaching, just as someone who has seen first hand how people live in Mexico, Egypt, and yes - India - be happy for what you have and don't slight these people for wishing for a little more... If you don't like what you get in American try moving to India and living on their wages. I'm sure you'll love 100+ degree heat with no A/C... |

The Dunedin call center reminds me of that TV show Mayberry RFD. Andy Griffith as the call center leader, Barney Fife as the dialer admin, Aunt Bee as the COE of the call center, Howard Sprague would be a great work force leader. Who would fill the role of Goober Pyle? Maybe the kpi guy. That lady in training is a good match for Helen Crump. this is fun. Now the only one left is Opie...could that be... MH?

1 All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten by Robert Fulghum All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten. ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate-school mountain, but there in the sandpile at Sunday School. These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we. And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living. Take any of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or your government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if all - the whole world - had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had a basic policy to always put thing back where they found them and to clean up their own mess. And it is still true, no matter how old you are - when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together. |

Good night

Does that mean you were cut because you didn't make the 55% accept rate? |
No, they claim they gave me a break. When the new cycle starts I will start back in the pip program where I left off at a verbal warning and go from there each week if I dont make my weekly goal. Iwas just bored when I wrote the other. |

Is it true that there were lay offs at the brooker creek offices today? Why would they do that before a holidays?
I have not worked for Nielsen since February, but I know of at least one who was laid off today. Anyone who knows of more should chime in.
Laying off before the holidays is pretty humane compared to laying off afterwards. Less chance the employee will overspend on presents and celebrations. |
I know of 3 who were fired in the Radcliff call center last Thursday. Ithink its horrible right before the holidays. |
A lot of people were let go today 11-18-09 in BC Oldsmar. The IT and Engeneering Department, Programmers, SQA and Support, other hard working people were let go as well. Why don't they stop this insanity?
Maybe because they do not give a crap about anyone, but themselves. |
