Congratulations Connecticut !

Less companies for your revenue and less jobs to your citizens.

Wake up and start attracting businesses to our state or we are going to be known as a hedge fund state only, out of Greenwich.

Good luck to those that will remain hear.

A move to Indiana with Connecticut pay is a BIG increase as housing costs half as much. I'd move.

I would move in a heartbeat to the midwest and leave this liberal tax infested state. You could get a house for half in Indiana, why stay here and have to make $22 an hour to rent a 2 bedroom apartment?

GOOD LUCK TO ALL.. ATT has laid off 218 UNION FOLKS in the past month and gave notice to at least 38 managment folks who were blind sided this week that I know of and the number is much larger than 38....No ONE REPORTED THESE LAYOFFS..DONT UNDERSTAND HOW ATT GETS AWAY WITH LAYING OFF FOLKS A LITTLE AT A TIME AND IT IS NOT REPORTED.! There are other layoffs planned for next week...and the numbers will be equal to the 200 UNION FOLKS!..hmm...Lets see if the News Times cares to report it!

yup, everyone and everything of value is headed out of the area.

blame it on the illegals, the overcrowding, the poor air quality, the substandard social welfare system... i blame them all.

all i know is I was born and raised here and it no longer feels like home. i am leaving, i will never return, and i will never look back.

new york state here I come!

Yes, New York State has some lovely towns like Beacon, Montrose, Verplank, Bronx and Yonkers. Just make sure your shots are all up to date before you move.

It usually starts with moving within
the country and then the greedy
Share Holders demand more on their
returns. and eventually the jobs
will end up in another Country.
Just keep buying that Junk from
Walmart, their thinking the more jobs
we lose in this country the people
become poorer and they will shop
at the Walmart stores.
CEO & Wall Street Greed are slowly
distroying this Country. And if you
disagree with that, then you must
be one of them.

It's Edmond Road, NT. Please hire a fact checker/proof reader. In fact, since I'm NOT moving to the "midwest", please hire me. For the same money, I'll make sure that when you publish names, addresses and the rest, they're spelled correctly AND that they're the correct names, addresses and the rest. See resume attached.

Good luck to the employees who lost their jobs. When will our idiot of a President and his financial "advisors" admit that we are in a depression.....Oh I mean recession.

Well..I know cost per square foot for warehouse space was the determining factor...Dont let them lull you to sleep with their positioning excuses...Distribution costs companies money,,if they can do it cheaper elsewhere they will..PB's position in CT is continuing to fade...This is another sign that distribution/manufacturing in CT is continuing to decline...It will happen to more companies within CT in the months to come...

just want to clear up a few things
this was not a spur of the moment decision, it's been under periodic review for at least 20 years
Management has kept the employees updated on plans and possibilities for over a year
the replacement parts operation has been outsourced to a company called SEVA (or CEVA ?)
the Facilities Services group aka maintenance has also been outsourced effective 12/31/08
PB does not own either building in Newtown , they are leased and yes there are 2 buildings and yes they are haunted
PB is still a decent company to work for,not long ago it was a good company , it USED to be a GREAT company
no I'm not in management , just tired
no job for you

And how is moving to New York State making your quality of life better? It costs even more to live there, why do you think us Ny'ers move to CT?

My husband and I moved to North Carolina because of no jobs, CL&P rates, gas prices etc. Danbury no longer looks like the town I grew up in. I will never go back!! The only thing I miss is my family that is still there and my friends and they come to see me now. They are not happy with the cost to live in CT either and the illegall's. That's another thing.. why can't people understand the difference between legal and illegal??? Selective thinking??? like selective hearing?? They just don't get it.
