Very true but the letter wasn't discussing the poor.

Already a county of takers why create another source for the takers to take. We put up signs saying takers come to our county and you can take without working. Matter of a fact, we have a good portion of takers that also like to sell drugs or use what they take to buy drugs! If we had less takers here then we can take what they take and give it to the schools.

By the way a movie theater, New Philadelphia just closed theirs.

Give your money, if you want, to the church and they will provide!

Doreen you have such great ideas! It would be amazing if our community could come together like this. But I think, unfortunately, that this town has proven that even people with the best of intention will be taken over by certain 'names' who feel the need to run EVERYTHING that goes on around here. It's sad, but true. Too many hands in the cookie jar, and those hands aren't looking out for our community, they're looking out for themselves....

If you want to get something done in this county that will help our students and the less fortunate, start the non-profit organization and choose single moms and dads who make UNDER $40,000 per year to lead the group. These are the people with the biggest hearts. These are the people who know who would best benefit from a helping hand. It is the lower income families that know who needs the most help. Not those people who are millionaires.

Why in the world would you want a bunch of "rich" people in control of other people's destinies? That doesn't make sense.
