Are there 2 Restaurant Weeks in Cville? I saw this website that mentions the week before the one in Mary's post:

Yes, there are 2 Restaurant weeks. The original is advertised on cvilleyum.com and the new "official" one is listed at charlottesvillerestaurantweek.com . They are two different weeks and two different costs. Suggest you make reservations to the restaurant of your choice to ensure they are participating.

Honestly, I'm irritated with the reporting in this town even regarding something as simple as writing that there are 2 restaurant weeks in town. If you're going to write a simple Features article about restaurant week, it should mention at least in passing that 2 exist. And if we get a very ambitious reporter they could maybe even tell us reactions from citizens, restaurants, the 2 sponsors (the Hook and Virginia Media Ventures), or 2 different charities that will benefit from the different weeks.

Why do we need two different restaurant weeks? This is all very confusing.

Avoid all the confusion folks. Just write a check to your favorite charity and eat at home. The restaurant business has something like a 50% profit margin and all they can afford is 1$ per meal? I thought rape was illegal, but I guess this is consensual if you choose to play.
