You do NOT want to use Sams Mobile Home Services,
I have never had anyone talk to me or treat me with such disrespect. I felt they would rip me off in a heart beat. My dealings with Sams was horrible and I would recommend you look for services someplace else.

It doesn't matter whether it is 1 or 100 miles, it is still the same amount of work to take it apart, supply axles & tires, unhook utilities, unblock, wrap it, transport blocks, porches ect, aquire moving permits. then you have all the same in set up ect. Our insurance and truck payments are here whether we move 1 or 10 houses a month also and there isn't much besides houses that you can move with our specialized equipment. If it was easy work and it didn't cost so much for the proper equpment or insurance everybody would do it.$80 a hour for a mechanic at a garage is a racket too but that mechanic has to go for training, have the proper tools and diagnostic equipment and there is a sizable investment in property & building to do his job correctly. 5 dollars for a half gallon of ice cream is nuts when u can make it with $.70 worth of milk, ice & vanilla or cocoa but how long do you want to sit and stir?

I agree with this one , for sure. We know the economy is bad but it does not change the cost of what WE need to pay or do safely for the job to get done right and legal with the states and counties. And to cover our workers and trucks. [email protected] / Navarro Transport & Services in Michigan.

where can I find someone to move a mobile home to the dump.

If you are looking to take your mobile to the dump. You need to either call a transport company to see if they have a toter truck to transport mobile homes. Or call your state munufactured housing comunity to ask if they have a number to an installer/servicer for your state. Or go to your nearest mobile home park and see if they can get you a number, LOL , or find a manufactured home supply business in your area to get a number from them, usually they have business cards on their counter.
In Michigan they charge 700 dollars just to get it in the gate to dump it, then you have to pay the toter, maybe 500, then the guys to make it ready to travel safely on the road, anywhere from 4 to 800 depending on size . Plus permits to travel from county, city, or state.

I am willing to give away a modular 16 wide 2 bedroom 2 bathroom near Grass Valley, CA

Just needs to be moved, good condition, only cosmetic repairs. Moved out of the area and need out of the park lease.
