Down the road the deposits will be mined by either Russian or Chinese companies.

If the venezuelan government is serious about closing mining in Bolivar and Amazonas States, hugo chavez should be nominated for a Nobel Price.
That region has been polluted by foreign and venezuelan mining companies as well as individual miners at least for hundred years.
Hurrah for Hugo Chavez!
