Take the LME price & reduce it by ten percent and divide by 32 for an approximate gram price of the day.

Fred Kofi, since you did not answer my questions, I can only assume that you are a scam like 95% of the gold offers on the internet. The name "Kofi" is a common scam name. FYI for everyone out there these con artist have a different name and email address for every customer they communicate with, this way they can keep track of who they are scamming. They are very slick. There is a ton of gold in Ghana, but for just as much gold there is, you will find just as many scammers. And it is just not one, but a large network of people involved, the front man, which would be the person trying to sell you gold over the internet, then there's the actual people that meet you and do the transaction, then there's the police department that are paid off to help these guys get off. They even have attorneys. It's a web, and if you do not have actual connections in Ghana and know the locals, don't waste your time. The miners usually don't scam people, it's the brokers, the in between men and women. Other than soccer, Ghana does not have sports like we do, football, baseball, basketball, etc... their sport is to cheat and take. Most Ghanaians are very good people, but it's the few that make it impossible for the country of Ghana to move forward. I have been fortunate enough to meet some really wonderful people from Ghana that I consider like family, but trust me I have seen first hand how deep the coruption goes and the evil networking of the so called gold sellers in ghana and what they have done to foreigners. Beware gold buyers, these sellers on the internet are the best liars ever!
So what you got Fred Kofi? 240 kilograms? Give me a break dude! One last important advice for gold buyers. You wanna buy gold, then go to Ghana, know the system, get to know the people, there are good honest sellers out there, remember the transaction is always, always on your terms, never never the seller.

You can not sell gold in Ghana unless you are samll scale local miner...
Frank, Nick Harvey is my name and im a gold and diamond trader, and gold miner in Ghana ( Australian)
This my friend is the truth:-
There is no cheap gold,, anywhere in the world,,,,
You can buy it here in Ghana from the ilegal miners at about 10% under LME,, the reasons being,,, 1, they are ilegal, illiterate, they cant sell it to PMMC here and they dont want to pay tax on it, also they cant trade it on the spot market.
So the Obruni ( white Man) buys it at 10% under LME and does the selling and paper work for them,, and the 10% would be the tax they would have to pay.
2. Dont trust anyone in this country ( me included unless you know me)
3. Dont send money to anyone for any reason,,( you will lose it)
4. Anyone who says they have more than 2 kgs of Gold ,, is a liar
5. Anyone with gold less than 10% under LME is a liar.
6. If they are Black,, they are a liar.99% of them anyway.
Good luck mate

What makes you so negative?
Ghana is a beautiful country with hard working people who have the same propensity for truth as those in your country or in fact any country. Just ask any American about Madnoff- he only rip-off 50 billion USD. Now that is one less than truthful guy.
You should be careful on the names you call--- take a close look around in your country. I am sure you find more or less the same.
How do you know that-if you send money it will be lost? That has not been my experience. In fact most of what you say rings of bitterness. It sounds as if you were defeated in your objectives in that part of the world. You are missing one of the worlds great adventures and opportunities in the Ghana Gold Fields, just ask Newmont, Redback or any one of the number of mining companies from your country.
Just for you edification the USA could be the scam capital (419) of the world-50 billion was scammed by one man from his fellow America's who were looking to get rich quick and that is the tip of the iceberg. I am sure you could name more than a few scams in your great country, especially in the mineral sector--
I suggest you look on the positive side of life and do not degrade others, you will be a better man for it, mate.
If you want to discuss this in detail just send your email and I will answer...remember Ghana is a gold exploration/mining country. I will add a caveat-It is less cumbersome to do business in that part of the world then just about anywhere else--if you know the protocols.
Number 6 is a racist statement and has no bases in truth which makes the rest of your post suspect. Stay on target with facts not emotional tirades.

Do you still have gold for sale locally in Ghana? If so what price are you asking for it and how much do you have.

I have a lady friend in Acccra with a bit of gold she wants to take in her private person to the USA
Is there a better way to handle it without the bureauratic hassle
She really wants to have it shipped directly to a bonafide dealer in the USA for safekeeping and to be able to buy it from her as needed
Did you find a better and economical way of shipping your gold out of Accra?

Hello, I am from the carribbean but i happen to have a lady friend in Ghana who has inherited some gold that she wish to sell right there in Ghana. However she being a lady, she is reluctant and afraid because as she said "I dont know who to trust". Therefore if someone could tell me the names of some legitimate dealers over there I would appreciate it and thenpass the info on to her! Thank you in advance for your help!

The women in Ghana do not need men to tell them what to do or who they can trust. The Ghanian women are strong and very attentive in decision making. She will know where to go by the time your read this post.

Do not worry she is fine, very fine of that I can assure you.

Dear Ghana Gold, I agree with you that the 'Ghanian women are strong and very attentive in decision making'. However, she is not an expert in gold trading, she told me so! As it stands the main part of my question has not yet been answered: "Therefore if someone could tell me the names of some legitimate dealers over there I would appreciate it and then pass the info on to her" This is the reason I came to this forum, to seek answers to help my friend! So then can anyone answer that part of my question? thank you.

She is in Ghana...OK. What you are asking is not logical. Why would she ask you when she is in Ghana and all she has to do is look in the phone directory.

I cannot answer that question as I do not have all the information, what I will say is 30k usd would not buy a set of mining truck tires and moreover, 30k does not get in you in front door of any mining activities, at least not in the country of question. Did you see any documents supporting his statement?
