I wonder why this isn't in a West Virginia newspaper? Could it be that Massey energy is buying the newspapers off?
Yes it could. Why not? they already bought a judge! |

realism-Like real: As Bill suggested check the Charleston newspapers on-line. There is at least one paper that stands up to Massey and don.
"It is beyond my understanding how the Daily Mail can fail to support Massey Energy and the coal industry in its editorials." |

Too bad West Virginians keep throwing thier children down in to the ground to die. Ever since the Big Sago disaster(Thank you,Big coal energy for showing your true colors)they talk a good game, but the miners keep dying,NO improvements (the ones the brain-dead Govenor made law without penalty)so nothing changes. So, when your coal-mining loved ones leave, don't say anything but "Good-bye" cause if the cave in doesn't get them, black lung will.

realism-Like real: No one forces people to become Miners . I would say that for many of them it is in their blood.
Their are problems with the industry but Miners have to stand up and take a role in eliminating them . There should be no mines with safety violations if the Miners are educated and report violations directly to OIG with copy to MSHA . Reason I say that is that it would appear that the MSHA needs some cleansing. Check the MSHA site re fatalities . You will seee that roof falls resulting in death are a minor cause. MINERS NEED TO THINK SAFETY FIRST. http://www.msha.gov/fatals/fab.htm |

Sleibhin Don has given a million dollars for scholarships in Wva. when they do this the student that receives one is an endentured servent for massey coal. they have to sign to say in there employment or in the case of a DR. they are required to sign a contract that they will pratice in an area in wva for so many years. this is in the online paper to day.
