As a woman I am sorry to read about her departure. One thing, I hope it was Her decission to leave and not a "push Out!" I am getting vibes this was not her choice.

so how does the stepping down of a woman, voted 4 times to Fortune magazine's list of "50 most powerful women" and who contributed positively for 3 years, align carpenter with emerging trends? I don't buy that this was voluntary.

It's well known inside the ranks at Carpenter that she brought in a bunch of Ford cronies who are clueless about steel and they have been destroying the company. Hopefully it can be turned around.

Arrogant, self-centered, foul mouthed, clueless, failure. She has no idea how little people think of her. Glad you're gone.

Anne was terrible for Carpenter, it's about time she got pushed out! She came to Carpenter from Ford and ran the company as if she planned to make cars. She pushed out knowledgeable steel execs and surrounded herself with auto chronies who believe they know more about the specialty alloys business than the experts. Hopefully they see the writing on the wall too. She focused on day-to-day minutia rather than set a direction. Terrible CEO, glad this company can finally move on in a more positive direction. THE COMPANY IS DEFINITELY BETTER OFF WITHOUT HER! Hopefully there will be more oversight within this company so this board of directors doesn't get snowed under yet again.
