To call it a "disease" is bullsh|t. It's self-inflicted and temporary. Don't eat acidic foods and don't overeat and you don't have a problem.

Any time you have a weakening in a small ring of muscle you're bound to have some kind of trouble.

Go on a low-carb diet, cut the gut fat-so, and the GERD will go away

It's Not A Disease.

It seems everythign is a disease, and they only say that to scare you into taking drugs, in which the side effects are worse than the cause.

LOL @ restless leg syndrome (another disease?)

To people who don't think it's a real problem... I'm 24, fit and thin.. I was diagnosed with acid reflux disease back when I was 18. Unfortunately I inherited this stomach from my mom who inherited it from her father.... if I miss even a day of my meds, the heartburn is horrible.
I agree though that there are plenty of obese people that could adjust their diet, lose some weight and get rid of the problem...

I have always had problems with my stomach even as a child, it was something I was born with. To call people with this disease fat and lazy is bull. I know people who have this problem and they are far being fat and lazy. My dad had this and he was the most fit person I had ever known he was in fact he was an Army Ranger. It is just plain ignorance to call people with this disease fat and lazy.Just one person's opinion.

I can recommend a reputable online pharmacy http://allbestpills.info
I figured it would be enough to give the pills a try and I was quite satisfied with the result. I hope this info will be of any help to the community.
I have used this medication since the late 80's for migraines and it works wonders. I have tried other medication and nothing works as well and fast as generic Aspirin.

Acid reflux disease or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can be tied to both genetics and diet. I've had issues with it since I was a child. I'm thin and in good shape, but my diet isn't always the best. I most always have problems when I get off my diet or drink alcohol. Education on the causes of GERD and taking the required steps for prevention is required to prevent acid reflux. HowToTreatHeartburn.com is a great educational source.

I have had stomach problems since I was a child too. I was athletic and thin. I'm 49 now and still have multiple stomach and avoid problems. My apendics and gallbladder have been removed. My mom, grandmother and now my son Have issues as well. I have GERD, hiatal hernia, IBS, diverticulitis and chronic gasteritis. I have suffered with these things for years. To all the rude people please get educated before you open your big mouths.
