who thinksof these stupid ideas the coustumers hate us already they dont want to shop at jcpenny anymore the damange is aready done we are so slow no buisness we are usally busy for easter what a dam shame we really need our fitting room people back and sale support cant keep up terrible mess we need our folders back to make the store look real nice this pricing thing is stupid what is going to happen to jcpenny that is the question to ask everyone what a shame

Well, Laura...the customer has spoken! They want their "markdowns." This is nothing revolutionary--it's all a psychological game that EVERY retailer plays. Can't help it if the average consumer is stupid. AND I feel your pain with the lack of fitting room help. With these "sales & coupons" our store often looks like a herd of wild buffalo has trampled the place. People have NO respect for anything these days--WHAT PIGS! Besides clothes thrown everywhere, there are things like old food, drinks, dirty diapers, sanitary pads--you name it in there! Thank goodness Caribou Coffee backed out--CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MUCH WORSE IT WOULD BE??!!

Yes its a damn shame!! How stupid the customers can Only to save 10.00 off. The prices were better with the new pricing so now they will be marked up. For example the st john bay shorts were 15.00 buck last week today they are 18.00!! Due to customers wanted coupons! How stupid can u get?? U dont shop with a coupon everday!! So u now made it worst for the staff and other customers who enjoyed the new prices!! Great JOB Dummies!!

get rid of the sob that started this whole mess than lets talk that rotten sorry of aman ron johnson look what hes done to a wonderful company he should be a shamed of himself but i guess he doesnt care what he is doing to hurt people lets keep talking ways to get rid of this monster he has to go iam looking for a new job before its too late what a shame scared seem like hes trying every trick in the book to get people back but its too late and take those dam libbys and stick them where the sun dont shine they dont work they are a piece of crap a waste of money

The libbys are not going anywhere.. the cost of a libby isa few hundred a register cost 5000 dollars. But I do see your concern. Other companys are using them aswell.

I quit shopping at sears because their pushing credit cards delayed check out too much. After repeatedly saying NO, I said call a manager. See this cart full of tools, you can put them away no sale, and i walked out the door:)

K Mart tried pushing self check out, there again after they tried to force me to use self check out I complained and left my nearly purchased stuff and walked out the door. I called their complaint number they asked why wouldnt you self check out? because I dont want too!!

JCP runs the risk of making paying inconvenient which can discourage future shoppers. Personally I cant see searching the store looking for a associate who may be off the floor, at lunch, on break or going to the bathroom, or perhaps in the stock room looking for merchandise for another shopper. Walking out with no receipt and no bag? Well another reason to not shop there!

No, the Libbys are not going anywhere...JCP has to keep up with the Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie & all the other "hip" companies that are using similar devices. This is the future of retail & it kinda sucks. BUT JCP has done NOTHING to make it any easier for those of us who work there. Our fulltime work hours are cut--goodbye 35 hr week--hello 28 - 31 hrs if you're lucky & are versatile enough to work across "neighborhoods." Employee entrances are GONE b/c too many stores had disgruntled ex-employees coming in & causing problems. Just checked my paycheck online & now we're getting only 50 cents per findmore referral instead of 1.00! What's next? no bonus for opening that usurious credit card that we're pressured to do? BTW the ICAP process on the Libby SUCKS! Print too small & too many screens. How about all these new blackout dates for PTO time? I actually disagree with many people on the look & quality of some of the new merchandise; I think SOME of it, including Joe Fresh is a bit better than before. If people out there want super high quality, then pay the price & shop the high end stores. JCP was never meant to be a high-end retailer. I DO agree that they have to bring back more styles for the older & plus-size shopper--especially in lingerie & dresses. SJB has begun to land in Misses in my store & is selling, but too little too late?

Walking out with no receipt and no bag? What do you mean? The customers have options of having the receipt emailed or a paper copy or both... and bags are also giving..I love the emailed receipt to my phone ill never misplace them ever again n if I did I can make as many copies as i need

So he wants his "old ladies", Ron's words, not mine, back to fund the rest of his vision, aka mini stores, he doesn't have enough money to do this now and he knows it.

Those old ladies brands will be gone as soon as he milks those customers in funding the above. So, if you like being labeled old lady, knock yourself out, nothing, and I mean nothing is getting us back. Those brands do not fit those visions in his head for JCP, they are not hip enough, so buyer beware, they will soon be gone again.

I am not sure why a nice brand like St John's Bay was labelled as an old ladies brand.

Yeah, technology for the sake of technology that handheld crap, instant hip, looks cool, grow up.

They need to fire Ron, they really don't need him, JCP is backtracking and he will sink every cent into that untest mini store crap. He can't fire anyone else guess this is plan Z.

Hey, do not flame me, Ron in a video interview showing off his secret mocked up store on that second floor said that phase and coined it, "old ladies" very early last year and smiled and smiled as he did it, he was talking about the axed in-house brands, he is a condescending jerk. That condescending remark alone should of shown him the door but when you give a guy like Ron 52 million dollars up front, 50 million in stocks with an option to pick up a truck load more with no built-in clause linking that money and those perks to his performance he can call you anything he likes and smile all the way to the bank while doing it.

Calling his old customer base "old ladies", truly lovely, now he wants you back, priceless, unbelievable even for Ron's ego.

Why put all the blame on Ron? The blame is also on all of those that gave him the big bucks and refuse to get rid of the cancer (Ron) that is eating away at J C Penney.

the libbys are not very reliable, it is easy to cancel a transaction without knowing it. Plus if customers have a smart phone they can get info from the libby, like their e-mail address.. I know this because it happened. not safe at all
