Then throw in some Irritable bowel syndrome, unimaginable and insatiable fatigue, unpredictable brain fog and vagueness not even an Alzheimer's victim could be forgiven for and THEN sit behind the safety of that electronic box of yours and preach your pathetic words of ignorance. And to top it all off... Try holding down a full time and a half job whilst being 19 years of age and being unable to even consider using pain killers of any form due to the intolerance to medications that Fibromyalgia has ironically left you with.
On a side note. I also believe the unimaginable pain you are experiencing has caused you to be blatantly illiterate grammatically inept.

I agree. My wife got crazier and crazier after her mother died, claiming all kinds of pain. Now she has a "fibromyalgia" diagnosis, has been on Oxycontin and Oxycodone for three years. I'm amidst a divorce from her after being married for twenty-two years. To say that I'm pissed is an understatement. I'm fifty and now a single dad. Shame on these asshole physicians who justify this nonsense.

You wouldn't say that if you, or someone you really cared about had it, my mom has it and she has never taken a pain pill for it, but she does strugle most every day. I hope you never have to suffer from it but if you did maybe you would understand.

I myself was born with a rare type of Spina Bifida that has left me with damage to my spinal cord and nerve endings. I tend to leak CSF from time to time and develop infections. The only time I take narcs have been right after any surgery I have.. I have never taken narcs more than two weeks after coming home from the hospital.. as far as Fibro.. it is a diagnoses of exclusion.. meaning it is NOT a disease. But a label like IBS... it does not mean there is nothing wrong... it means the doctors cannot find anything wrong so they have to listen only to what the patient tells them. With that said... it is a very easy disease to fake. Especially with the advent of the internet. I spend a lot of time in neuro offices.. and to be honest.. it gets on my nerves when I sit and listen to people whine about Fibro or about numbness and tingling... my gf works for a pediatric neurosurgeon's offce... sorry ladies.. I see babies in a lot worse pain than most of you will ever know and they do not complain and beg for narcs anywhere near as much as you do. I have had morons tell me my stuff is not bad.. but I never felt the urge to get upset about it and argue about how real my challenges are on a message board. Go live our life and try to live without the narcs. Get some exercise.. I have to not just for pain.. but so I can live longer and happier. For those in real pain.. it is not Fibro... it is something else. Just do not expect anyone to care about Fibro and don't compare it to something like MS, ALS, or SM.. I have one of those also.

Buy stock in pain med manufacturing. Always "talk it up." Make sure all of the women you know get an education on fibromyalgia, and that it can be whatever the hell they want it to be. And fibro sells drugs, baby! And raises my income!

Why are there so many problems with prescription of pain meds today? It all goes back to 1914.

Prior to 1914, we didn't have any problems with drug-related crime. We didn't have drug gangs. And we didn't have people in pain who had trouble getting medication.

Then, in 1914 that all changed, in a single year from a single cause.
