And your evidence for these allegations comes from where?

Okay, what the hell is the "Economic Development Group"? And how does the "city" have anything to do with "them" whoever they are?

It seems like the best way to do this would be to make the Cascades canals the final stage of an integrated wastewater treatment process. Many cities recharge the aquifer by discharging treated wastewater into it.

As long as the water discharged into the Pecos is at least as clean as the water already in it, the conduit for that discharge could be the canals of the Cascades.

While not clean enough to drink, water in the final stage of the treatment process is clear, odor free and as safe to swim in as the Pecos itself.

A win for everybody would be an approach that actually contributes reclaimed water to the Pecos, beautifies the city and improves its infrastructure.

Please, all you naysayers, go back to wherever you came from. Go ski in Texas or find a job in W Virginia.
We will always be a bib overall community, Artesia will be a black tie affair community and we will be sucking hind tit like always.
I don't think it is algae we smell, I truly think the droppings are from the Navajo plant, we cannot even stock the river because the fish die, that doesn't sound like algae to me.

No help needed. No anger here buddy...just get tired of defending what I can see and smell. Take a walk by that stinking cesspool leading to the City's fancy meeting hall. Stagnant water, trash, and a non-running fountain installed inside. Go figure.

The Development people who own it are saying there'll be running river water through the canal. I'd think that the smell caused by stagnant water won't be a problem. Given that the most expensive and desirable property in town is adjacent to the river, i dont think that getting businesses there will be a problem either.

I am stoked that there'll be new restaurants there. I'd love to have a beer and dinner there while chillin on the canal. You can stay home and drink your's there if you want...after all, its America.

When will the people of Carlsbad learn that this town is worthless because they want it this way. Do you really think that they don't
know how to clean the river or burn their trash. They do it on purpose. The children get sick if they swim in the river.
I got sick from living in their filthy apartments. There are health laws and they should all be in prison.

Why is this town so ill?

Evil dwells here.
