I am watching the 3rd highest paid CEO in america destroying his company while the BOD stand by and do nothing........

Has ANY retailer Ever recovered from such a large sales collapse? ever?

If RJ had test marketed any of his crackpot ideas they would of never seen the light of day.

Having worked years ago for a company that went out of business I feel bad for all the employees, current and former that he has hurt, by trying to reinvent retail

Ron flat out stated he didn't have time to test his vision or is that visions. This is not a man to argue with, it is his way or the highway, he cleaned the clock at the corporate office, to make room to move his boys in, his buddy Francis from Target was payed millions to jump ship, fired by Ron 8 months later. Seems Ron thought TV ads old fashion, wanted newspaper, anyone read a paper anymore? I can't imagine how many shoes JCP has to sell to pay for Francis bonus, or Ron's pay. What is the markup on this stuff?
One may smile and smile, with a 20-ish hair cut, open shirt, sweater, dyed grey hair, and still be a villain.

the penneys departing president told RJ his plan wouldnt work......

While RJ can bring back coupons and do other things I think penneys cant recover with him at the helm....

Ron J has irritated his customers, his employees, his suppliers. in fact theres probably few people that arent mad at him about one thing or another. Penneys needs a new start or better yet re hire the old president and publically apologize to everyone..

Thought of that too, fire Ron, bring back old president, an apologize. Problem is he has burned thru too much money, scorched and salted the earth. We will not be back.
Maybe Microsoft will hire him, they are cloning, like they do everything, the Apple store, just stopping short of a full blown clone job. Another we make the hardware, OS, can set the price. This is not, just like Apple Stores, true retailing, something Ron is still not getting. Ron can rehire his crony friends to give him Glow Jobs. You know Glow Jobs, that's a great sweater you got on, open shirt, his usually yes men.

I made a catalog return at a JCP last week. The associate was sloppily dressed and had lank, greasy hair. She didn't even look at what I was returning, didn't credit me for FOUR ITEMS, made a mess of the transaction that required calling a manager and even charging me for a return I didn't have! I ended up being late for a doctor's appt. because of this moron. I have been increasingly dissatisfied with Penneys for years now and the recent changes in addition to loss of quality has made me sooo glad that I am done with this retailer for the rest of my life.
That's because:
1 - They fired experienced employees and hired min wage people.
2 - There is no one available to train said employees. Staff is so low that many of us still working are getting 6-14 hrs per week while new hires get 26-35 with no one to train them. One person per shift.

America hates Penney's because of Ron Johnson.

Recovery if it can EVER occur will require Ron J and his henchman be FIRED, and replaced by the old management, and advertisements having rns replacement apologize for all the mistakes and promises to be the old JC Penneys once again.

Ron has offended way to many of his customers to ever see the chain recover!!
