I had my 16 year old daughter schedule for 3 shots today. One was the Hepatitus A shot, then a Tetnus shot, and the reason from the beginning the Gardisil shot. But after hearing all the negative remarks concerning this, I backed out giving her the Gardisil, and just let them give her the other two. Something told me to wait and get more information, that this may be a sign not to go ahead and do this at this time. And after reading more on the subject just now, I feel like I did the right thing, even though her doctor really pushed for us to give it to her today. So just do what you feel is the best for your own daughter, and don't let anyone change your mind if you don't feel it's the safe thing to do at the time.

My daughter was recently hospitalized for numbness and pain, loss of vision, along with paralysis. She also was not able to keep her balance or walk without assistance. She was given 2 rounds of steroids. The docters ordered every possible test in hopes of finding a diagnosis. Diagnosis Given: Post virus which probably caused octicular migranes. Although her symptoms have improved she is still experiencing numbness and loss of feeling in different parts of her body. I do not have the peace a mother should feel. Something is not right!

If this vaccine has so many problems, why are we being pushed into the vacciones for our girls by their peditricians? I dont feel safe when I hear that there are so many problems with a vaccine and then doctors are pushing it.

My daughter is 17. She received the vaccine in 2007. She has muscle weakness and pain. She has had several tests and we still do not have a diagnosis. The next step is a muscle biopsy. These symptoms occurred 6 months after the last vaccine. I regret letting her have the vaccine.

Janie - I recently got a tetnis shot and the injection site was sore for a week, too, so I wouldn't worry too much about the injection site --- I think that's normal.

My daughter has recently started having seizures. She started having seizures maybe three to 4 months after having the second HPV shot. Before the seizures started she had been complaining of breathing problems. A week after her last shot she had another seizure and complained of nausea all week preceding the seizure, The neurologist has found no medical reason for the seizures! which leads me to believe they were in fact resulting from the shots. The first set of seizures were very intense and were a total of 4.
She turned blue and it was extremely frightening. Any information you could email me would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Marie Koze

After my grandaughter received the Guardasil Vaccine she had a very low white blood cell count and also started having abnormal leg movements. She said that it felt like bugs were crawling on her legs and feet and were stinging her! I wonder if this is a neuroligical side effect from the vaccine and if the leg movements will be permanent?

My daughter also began having seizures one week to the day of receiving her third gardasil injection. Since that date she has had a total of 6 seizures with no known or identifiable cause. She also has complained of vision problems and just overall not feeling well. She is now taking an anti-seizure medication that has serious implications if she ever wants to get pregnant. I am going to contact a chiropractor in our area whom I've learned has a homeopathic antidote. The Merck HPV product under the name of Gardasil is not safe!!!

My three daughters have recieved the vaccine(age 21, 17, and 11). They did not have any adverse reactions and I am glad that there is a vaccine that can help the spread of cervical cancer. The two youngest are due the last of three injections on Aug., 29th. Since there is history of cervical cancer in my family I will do anything to protect them from this.

As easily as cervical cancer can be detected, and with the death rates declining every year, I don't think I am willing to take the risk with the Gardasil shot. My concerns: It only has a 5 year proven window of effectiveness the 10 deaths have not been definitely linked to the shot, but has the Gardasil shot been definitely ruled out as the cause. My 17 year old does not want to get the shot and I for one would not be able to live with myself if something went wrong and I forced her to get the shot.

My daughter 12 1/2 got her first HPV shot 2 months ago. Within less than 24 hours we were at the ER of the pediatric hospital. She was having trouble breathing and had loss of sensation, numbness, and tingling of her right leg and right arm, fever also. The shot was in her right arm. She also received Hep A and Menactra (Meningal coccal pneumonia) in her left arm. We were told these symptoms WERE not from those two shots, but they were seriously suspicious of the HPV. She is due for her next shot in a few days and we are Seriously considering NOT doing it!!

I was a little skeptical about getting the second shot after reading all these posts. I'm 21 and haven't had any side effects so far and received the shot this tuesday, besides being sore at the top of my arm. They said the second shot is exactly like the first, if that helps, and my doctor said she suggested it to her own children. I'll be sure to mention something here if something happens. I'm not having any regrets so far and I'm sorry for those of you whose daughters are having horrible side effects. They're in my thoughts.

My daughter had her first pap and was given a clean bill of health. At that appointment it was suggested she take the shot. Done. She went back twice more to finish the shots. Not long after she developed an Ovarian cyst. That resolved but left her with abdomenal pain. The doctor did not examine her but told her not to push on her abdomen if it hurt.
She went back this year for her check-up and the test came back with abnormal cells on her cervix. She was scheduled for a colposcopy and ended up with a biopsy. Biopsy results were Mild Dysplasia. She has to go back in 3 months for another pap. The doctor told her that day that day that she tested positive for HPV. And that she had to have had it before the shot was administered.

Of course she did ,what else would the doctor say. It can't be because the doctors and Pharmaceutical companies are pushing the shot. I'm sorry but I think they are the ones responsible for this. The doctor should have given her the HPV test befroe she had the shot, at least you would think that they would.

I am so angry about this ,that there is no way that I will ever give a recommendation for this shot. If anyone asks me I will tell them what has happened and they can decide for themselves.

I know that she is only one person and in the grand scheme of things ,what is just one when they are saving millions. Or want us to think they are. If I knew who to go to I would file a complaint and have someone check it out. Being as that probably won't happen I will use word of mouth to anyone who cares to listen.
