Sometimes I am a dollar or two short of buying an item so I want to bargain, and sometimes I disagree with the pricing, but any Goodwill Store prices are a loss incurred in the course of fetching a sell on the bigger items (not clothing). The prices are firmly set as compared to other local second-hand stores who will allow some bargaining to take place. The Deseret Industries will also allow some bargaining to sell their items. Why is bargaining not allowed in the Goodwill stores?

We go to large Goodwill here in Albuquerque. I walked out of their a couple years ago with a brand new $1500 in the box Total Gym for $50. That was a deal as they just thought it was another dunb piece of exercise equipment.

That was rare. Their clothes are a set price and this is good. As far as the rest of it. I think they let some of the "sheltered" workers get use of the price gun.

You don't pay for anything in a Goodwill store which is equal to that of regular stores. IE, 9x13 glass baking dish for $10? No, Its Goodwill, not the big box stores.

I went with my daughter for the first time today - July 17th 2011. At the checkout I had the cashier take back a dress shirt as I thought it was to pricey. I also had her take back 2 albums. I still spent 50.00. This CASHIER IN FARMINGTON NM GOODWILL was RUDE AND ARROGANT TOWARDS ME. Oh these jeans are 5.49 do you still want them?? Oh this top is 4.79 do you still want it?? Is there anything else you don't want? This is what she said to me. Also NEVER said thank you after the puchase.. Lucky her I kept my cool. My 15 year old daughter wanted to say something to this RUDE CASHIER. I will NEVER EVER GO BACK TO A STORE THAT TREATS GOOD PAYING CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS... Hey CASHIER,,, Get another job if you don't like working with the public!!! BEEOTCH!!!

Maybe you should make your final selections before you get to the register. What kind of idiot takes their selections up to the checkout and sorts through them at the counter? Your kind of imbecile, apparently. I bet the people behind you in line recognized you as the rude one. Talk about an arrogant AND ignorant Ghetto Mama. LMAO!

It is pretty obvious that you walk into the Goodwill store with a bad attitude. The cashier simply asked you a question to make sure you didn't want to purchase the items, indicating her good customer services skills and your lack of communication. If you had an complaint about the "pricey" clothing, why did you buy the items anyway? Your lack of intelligence by your comment stating, "I will never go back to that store that treats GOOD PAYING CUSTOMERS like this!"is hypocritical. You refused to buy the remaining items because they were too pricey suggest your NOT a GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER. Your simply someone who complains and is rude. I am absolutely positive that Goodwill don't mind losing your services, especially with someone who is not willing to spend money, by the way.. the correct term is, "Native American" not "Indian".. & your not "white".. your "Anglo" or "Caucasian" depending on which region your ancestry came from.. I suggest you enroll in anger management classes to properly handle your stress.. just saying.. have a great day!

Goodwill in Farmington, NM is very clean & organized atmosphere. Prices are comparable to ROSS prices but USED. I suggest shopping at The Salvation Army if your looking for more affordable price range. Clothing is not selective nor vintage pieces, their rather simple & plain & costly. If looking for furniture, I would suggest The Browsery Furniture store, they sell USED & NEW items for a similar price as the Goodwill except they have a better selection. The best part about this particular Goodwill store is they often carry the best accessories such as belts, jewelry, & hats! They also have an amazing selection with dresses, but just dresses only. Tip: Come early! Plan to spend an hour or two for the best finds! & Keep an open mind!
