New patches come due to improper diet like in case of children it may be intake of ketchup , maggi, Chinese food, or other junk food ..
Thyroid levels LFT stool test needs to be checked at regular intervals..
Above all patience and faith is required

Any new spots appearing with usage of lukoskin in initial 6 months is due to improper diet , worms infestation, stress, thyroid imbalance or changes In liver functions so kindly get these checked and then comment on a public forum..
A lot of money time and effort has been invested by DRDO AND AIMIL so kindly use your wisdom before commenting

hi! I'm using lukoskin since 5th November, 2012 and surprisingly i have recovered about 40%. In my case its very difficult to get regular sun exposure and what i observed is that the island patches are the first to recover and most of them got there natural color. the open end patches are taking a lot of time. I'm following dietary restrictions as much as i can but you know some chili and tomato is always going to be there.
Apart from this, my family is doing some rituals with Vedic Mantras, may be its irrelevant to discuss this matter on this forum, but my family supported me a lot, and i wanted to mention that.
my experience ( it may help )
1. i got blisters because of over use of medicine and it took 6 days to recover.
2. use very thin layer for first few days on sensitive areas and actually mix it with Jasmine oil.
3. Not problems with liquid medicine, i take it twice a day.

finally thanks to DRDO and aimil and "Dr nitika Kohli.

Hi,

I was seeing some small white patches on my hands and feet last year and then during a general doctor checkup - My TSH was tested to be high (~ 7.5) and so I was put on thyroxine - 50 mcg(Hypothyroid). In the next 3 months of taking this medicine, I felt my patches grew very fast. When I shared this with my Primary Care Doctor or even the dermatologist they said the medicine should not do that and it is just that both are auto-immune diseases and are showing up simultaneously.
Later I got my TOP (thyroid anti-bodies) checked and they were crazy high at ~ 850, the normal level is like ~ 20.
I am new mother ( have a 10 month old precious daughter) and I think pregnancy is taking a huge toll from me.-:(
Has anyone been in a similar situation of this skin condition occurring after child birth?
I plan to start Lukoskin treatment but I will have to wait until I wean my nursing infant.
Just wanted to share my experience and will post more once I start Lukoskin treatment.

It is great to people becoming more and more active and sharing their experience on this "not so fun" or say "depressing" skin condition which as far as I am aware doesn't have a definite treatment so far that works for all. Hope remains!
Thanks.

Divya,

Yes this happened with my wife right after delivery there was a huge spread. This in my opinion can also be attributed to sleepless nights and stress that comes with a newborn.

Hi Rakesh,

Thanks much for your reply. I read through some of your previous posts and thank you again for sharing your experience. I see hope in recovering with Lukoskin. Few more questions for you:
1. Did your wife also experience higher TSH(thyroid), TOP(Thyroid antibodies) levels?
2. Is her spread also on hands and feet or just random?
3. Is it bilateral? Like on both hands, both feet etc?

I am pretty sure stress has triggered it for me as when I first saw the mild patches those days were real bad with stress, depression, late night(office work) etc. My diet intake was also poor.
So people please try not to stress and sleep well!

Diva,

My wife did not have high levels of TSH.
The spread is on her hands and feet .
The spread is symmetric.

I have an update for all here, unfortunately my worst fears have come true.My wife did recover a lot of lost pigment due to Lukoskins .i know for sure that the treatment brings back color but I was not sure if it would sustain it.unfortunately for my wife the color that she regained has slowly started disappearing and this is totally frustrating. She has not been receiving enough sunlight so I understand that she would not be able to see any progress but the fact that color that she gained is disappearing is not encouraging to was my worst fear.A medicine can be considered a cure if the color can be sustained. We have not see any spread though and I don't think the medicine caused any spread. In order t be fair I have to admit that my wife has never really stuck to the diet very strictly but inspire of that she received great progress so I am it sure if the loss of color is linked to diet.I did speak to Dr Rakesh Bharadwaj who claimed that that a number of patients have recovered completely without a relapse and has encouraged us to follow the diet.My wife plans to stick to the diet however as there is no sunlight here as it is winter we will have to wait till Spring to see any progress.I refuse to blame the medicine but would appreciate it greatly if the Dr's provide a clear protocol in terms of other things that need to be considered like Nikita mentioned.iI think these should be mentioned (thyroid, worms) etc in advance along with supplements that need to be taken to balance these conditions.

I will continue to update this community and encourage everyone else to do so as we'll with honest recommendations and suggestions.
