A criminal through and through, just like his daddy...carrying on a chokelahoma tradition..perhaps next year he will end up on the cover of Sports Illustrated wearing an orange jumpsuit.

Why didn't they just let him sleep? He wasn't hurting anyone.

Thompson is a 19-20 year old college kid who drank too much. At least he was not drinking and driving. He will probably earn a 2nd chance.

No alcohol-related mistakes while you attended college?

Public intoxication and interference is against the law, that's why.

Ooops' Troops, negative, I never had an alcohol issue, mistake etc. while I was in college as I did not drink. Snoops will give him a 2nd chance for certain, especially if he thinks he can help his team.

If they just let him sleep then they wouldn't know he was intoxicated, and he couldn't interfere with anyone. It's a win/win.

Just let him sleep? I certainly hope you're not a police officer. It's possible that the responding police officer's saved lives by arresting Thompson. He could over very easily drove home, wrecked, and killed someone. I'll assume you wanted them to call a limo and send him home with $500 in cash and prizes. That's the same type of culture that got Thompson's father and the program in trouble in the 80's. It would not be a win/win for OU, but you would be a perfect fit for the SEC.

Stoops will give him another opportunity, but Thompson probably lost his chance to start or even contribute this year. And in my opinion, after watching the spring game, he has the most upside of any of the quarterbacks currently on campus.

As for not drinking alcohol while you were in college, you did get laid (lol), right?

On a serious note, thank you for serving our country.

While I did not partake in alcohol consumption, I admit that I did fornicate with my future and current wife of 24 years.

Roger that. No problem.

Oh hell, he wasn't hurting anyone. Just a kid screwing up.
