Lean has become an important topic in the manufacturing industry. I thought it would be important to start a topic on best Lean Practices and Tips to help others that are moving into this direction.

What tips or experience do you have with implementing Lean?

My number one tip is to make sure upper management is committed and that management proves to their employees that their knowledgeable and ready to invest in this practice. So many times Lean fails because the lack of knowledge or commitment from upper management.
