It was poor planning on the part of the American car companies to invest so highly in the production of SUV's. Now they are forced to play catch up in alternative fuel automobiles. Housing will make a come back it always does. With a growing population and decreased production, it has to.

Housing will recover..... in about 10 years. 08-09-10-11-12 are a washout for housing. That is the length of the banks working through their bad loans. I expect 600 bank failures. After the banking collapse and credit crises recovery 13-14-15 . It will turn around. Keep dreaming, long hard times ahead.
