A match not so heavenly for her

A marriage of convenience can be richly rewarding, and a bit risky. In the case of Verizon Communications and DirecTV, the benefit of the smart union between two seeming rivals was clear.

Direct T.V. is in the business of legally ripping people off. It is funny that this article should come out today. On April 24, 2008, I had a similiar problem with Direct T.V., and I contemplated contacting the Baltimore Sun. Like the woman in the above-mentioned article, Direct T.V. sent a technician, who obviously did not care about good customer service. He installed our dish in the wrong spot after being told multiple times, not to do so. I was charged 101.49 for another technican to come out to fix the problem, and then another 65.00 for a pole. Direct T.V. blamed Aerostat(contractor) and Aerostat blamed Direct T.V. I even called the coroporate headquarters and they took my complaint with a smile and nothing was ever resolved.

Great Job Dan Thanh Dang for informing the public of the deceitful practices of Direct T.V.

Sounds like Verizon needs a swift kick in the tail. I swear, I had the SAME PROBLEM with a country wiring inspector when my parents bought our new home.... two times, he didn't show up, and one time he came in just AFTER I had left, 1 hour after he was supposed to be there.

I have had "battles" with several types of businesses over shoddy practices. I have challenged the practices of hospitals and nursing homes, insurance companies, credit card scams, security alarm companies, credit reporting companies, cable companies and even collection agency scams. I am just as busy as anyone, but I have won each time due to perseverance. I can't believe anyone would give in to a collection agency rather than reporting them to the authorities.
