Mr. Walters is absolutely correct. The whole system is quite corrupt. The public's money is being badly mishandled. For example, unions are again using political influence to demand that public agencies use only union labor, regardless of other options which might be less expensive to the public. In this case, they are demanding that all investments require union labor for any development. This is a similar tactic to what is going on in Long Beach. The City Council is bowing to union demands for rules and regulations which require union labor, or which give unreasonable salary increases to those already employed such as the recent Firefighter contract renewal. These officials are failing in their fiduciary duty to the voters and taxpayers.
