They are not liberals... they are socialists, or maybe more claerly communists. The term liberal is misused.
I cannot believe how people are linning up behind Obama... it's scary.
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.
There is not one good choice this election.
Oh brother. Obama is a mess. But communist? Come on. Clinton is no Communist. Did you ever read her, IT Takes a Village, book? It's quite good. About we are responsible for each other. Like, lowering the lights. Like they do in Amsterdam. Did you know that in Amsterdam you are not allowed to take more energy than you need. So, they charge very high prices on it so no one overuses it rather than be rude and say, hey, don't use it, OK? lol I love Amsterdam. They are truly a free society. And they tried to save Ann frank and many other Jews there. I like there history. It's funny and heart warming. I went to all of the museums there years ago.

They didn't upgrade there mode of travel because the people in the country complained about the buses causing dirt to get on their laundry they hung to dry. So, no buses. lol One night, this political party, I suppose they were talking and I don't know, drinking, and they decided to liberate the bicycle. So all the bikes outside were painted white and no one knew which bike was their's. So, everyone just used the bike they saw. And dropped it and took another one when they needed it. And that's how everyone got around. Using everyone's bike, anytime. lol I love it!!!Even the bicycle was free.

Remember everyone, communism was opressive and didn't work as they wanted it to. But capitalism still thrives. SOme good in capitalism, some bad. But making a profit makes jobs and a future.

Oil was part of the reason for the invasion. PNAC and the protection of Israel/fighting Israel's conflicts for them was another, war profiteering another, and "W" wanted a couple of things. One was revenge, "he tried to kill my daddy" and he wanted to finish what his daddy didn't finish, made comments to people about what he would do if he had the power, long before he became POTUS. They were looking for a reason to invade Irag before 9/11 and 9/11 gave them that "Pearl Harbor Type Event" for the "War on Terrorism", even though Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11, that was Bush's family friends and business partners, the Saudis! The Iraqi Oil fields were divided up during Cheney's "secret" energy conferences, 44 meetings with Oil executives, one with environmentalists. Bush's biggest financial supporter got the best deal, the Kurdish region oil fields, he also got his hunting grounds along the Mexican border exempted from the "Wall", even though the neighbor's property was seized and the wall designated to be built right up to the Hunt property. Yes, Oil was one of the reasons for the invasion and occupation of Iraq! The reason given by the Bush admin. was to "keep control of Iraqi oil out of the hands of terrorist organizations", something Saddam was already doing, better than US. Over 10 percent of the oil coming from Iraqi oil fields is currently being stolen/syphoned off and going to fund militia/insurgent groups! Bush's blunder helped Iran by getting rid of two enemies, Saddam and the Taliban, plus provided the "terrorists" with a steady supply of Iraqi oil to fund their activities!

We are "having this problem right now" because of Bush's War, not really a war, and the Bush family friends in OPEC, along with Hedge fund speculators. The Saudis just stated that oil will likely rise to over $200 per gallon and they should know since they control the production and price for the most part. They are raking in more money than they can spend and we/the Bush administration, just gave them "foreign aid" while "W" begged them to increase production!

If the Fed were to raise interest rates, the price of oil would significantly fall. However, that would likely annihilate the real estate and credit markets.

There is no painless solution.

the later doesn't affect me, the former does. raise the rates plz, and drive some of the investment $$ out of the oil market.

The sad truth, as I just said on another thread, is that we could effect a dramatic decrease in the demand for gasoline (and heating oil and gas) by practicing the most minimal level of fuel conservation, but even that seems too much to ask of today's pathologically self-absorbed citizen.

So either cut back on your consumption, or stop banging on your high-chairs and get out your wallets.

The US needs to review its relationship with the Saudis. We provide them defense against invasion yet they refuse to help us with our oil needs. If it were not for the US military, Iraq would have likely invaded Saudi Arabia during the First Gulf War.

I guess you couldn't find any substnatiation for my first request.
"The objective of the war is war profiteering" any reference where that was stated either as US policy or Administration Policy?
Is a "Pearl Harbor Type Event" where a number of US citizens are cooked alive? About double Pearl Harbor's numbers....so was 911 a "Double Pearl Harbor Event"?
Are you accusing the House of Saud with the attack?
"The Iraqi oil fields were divided..by Cheney in secret meetings. Got any link showing the division and what the oil companies control now and does that fit Cheney's plan?
"Got rid of Saddam and the TALIBAN" In previous posts you have sworn that no Taliban or al Qaeda were present in Iraq.
As to PNAC; Where is this agreement where I can see the stipulations that we wage war with Iraq at the insistence of Israel?

My personal solution? The next F-15/16/18 fighter jet we sell these cheese-dicks would "window sticker" at a minimum of $10-Billion!
