Wall street doesn't need more police.....Americans need more brains. We have dumbed-down people to the point of no return.
Who the hell buys a house and pays interest only??? Why the hell did people think this would get them the American dream of OWNING their own home??? Americans think they can "flip" houses, day trade stocks, diagnose mediacal issues on WEBMD.com , and are more interested in American Idol or the SuperBowl then they are Social Secutiy or how fractional reserve banking works. They paid $6 for coffee and yet don't understand the relationship between inflation rates and savings rates and how distorted they are. These same Americans don't understand why Homosexuality and Evolution are completely incompatible.....if you can't procreate how can you evolve? So many examples of how dumb people are in this country and you wonder why we are going into a depression?
Good Luck! I retired at 30 years old 4 years ago and did it very simply.....I went SMALL! Small house, no debt, no car payment, no cell phone, no cable, no eating out, and I have never spent so much time travelling, hiking, and enjoying every day to the fullest. Slavery exists in America and if you are at work with debt....You Are The Slave!

Why wasn't Jim Cramer hauled in? He was pumping the stock on his show two days before the meltdown.

As for Jim Cramer and others, who cares? If you're stupid enough to take his advice than you deserve to loose money.

Cramer never once pumped Bear Stearns as an investment. All he said was that your money was safe in a Bear Stearns account due to SIPC. You can blame Cramer for being bullish on SHLD or ENER or Oils, but no way can you say he ever said buy BS stock.

They probably did think the company was in decent financial shape. Bear Stearns was setup by JpMorgan and the Fed, they engineered the meltdown through some dirty dealing. It was basically a high-fincance street mugging of a rogue player not controlled by the financial elite.

Reminds me of the Baltar trial situation in season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. Yeah, they did wrong, but so did everyone else. But we need to blast *someone* out the airlock, so...

Typical Yankee greed. Those two are complete trash. I want to say i can't believe but unfortunately I can. We as a national culture really need to "re-set" our values and ethics.

jdub, you're 100% right. The economic ignorance is stupefying. This is why Obama can say he is going to lower gas prices by raising taxes on oil companies--dumb, dumb, dumb. Congrats on your plan. I'm impressed. It's not for me, but I'm impressed.

Anyone who believes that mortgage brokers have anything to do with real estate financing is dumber than a sack of hair! All brokers do is is shop banks and savings and loans for buyers and sellers. Its the banks and the savings and loans institutions. Hopefully Remax, Winderemere, Coldwell Banker and other real estate companies will jump on this utter BS and help educate idiots who might actually fall for this ridiculous bankers blaming scam!

How stupid do they think Americans are? This is really bad people- I actually haven't stopped laughing at this tragic blame shifting scam since I read about it this morning!
