MSH INTERNATIONAL establishes a new office in Bangkok for SEA expansion while offering proximity to its members. MSH INTERNATIONAL (Thailand) is the new healthcare partner for internationally mobile individuals, families and employees of small and medium enterprises of any nationalities, living in Southeast Asia.
MSH INTERNATIONAL is a world leader in the design and management of international healthcare solutions. MSH INTERNATIONAL forms part of the SIACI SAINT HONORE group in France, multi-specialty insurance brokerage and consulting group which is No.1 for international healthcare insurance, group retirement plans, insurance for marine, logistics and supply chain and construction insurance.
MSH INTERNATIONAL has more than 2,000 corporate clients, over 300,000 members, covers 194 countries and provides reimbursements in as many as 150 currencies through its four regional headquarters in Paris, Calgary, Dubai and Shanghai. Over 400 staff are employed in its four regional headquarters with 45 nationalities speaking 30 languages.
At present, MSH INTERNATIONAL has approximately 600 corporate clients and 16,500 individual clients residing in Southeast Asia. With the opening of this new office in Bangkok, MSH INTERNATIONAL aims at offering a better proximity to its members living in Southeast Asia.
Laurent Cochet, Executive Director of MSH INTERNATIONAL reveals that MSH INTERNATIONAL chose Thailand because of its central location for international business expansion in Southeast Asia. It now appears as one of the top expat destinations when compared globally across economic and lifestyle factors. According to Paul-Dominique Vacharasinthu, Partner and Director of MSH INTERNATIONAL (Thailand), Bangkok as a location is important as the Thai government has established a clear goal of pushing Thailand as the region’s “Health Hub” with its entry into the ASEAN Economic Community or AEC in the next two years.
When entering the Thai market, MSH INTERNATIONAL (Thailand) was required to register as an insurance broker company, since “International Health Insurance Management”, as a class of business, did not exist in Thailand. Its main products and services include:(1) International Private Medical Insurance or IPMI for globally-mobile individuals and SMEs and (2) Customized solutions for medium-to-large companies, non-profit organizations and international organizations.
According to Paul-Dominique, the key strength of MSH INTERNATIONAL in Thailand is its proximity to its customers in Southeast Asia. The proximity to the customers is absolutely essential because it allows much greater responsiveness to the clients’ needs – whether it is a question about the contract, a request for hospital admission or an urgent query regarding the reimbursement amount. The members of MSH INTERNATIONAL can also benefit from its extensive medical network of 750,000 healthcare providers; including more than 5,000 hospitals and health practitioners worldwide outside the USA.
