The Justice Department is asking DOJ to prioritize Edith Windsor 's challenge against DOMA The Obama administration is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to make the case of an 83-year-old New York lesbian who had to pay $363,000 in estate taxes its highest priority among the pending lawsuits challenging the Defense of Marriage Act.

I doubt the SCOTUS really cares how old or sick she is. Many people have died waiting on the courts to decide their cases. I guess any compensation will have to go to her estate.

Gotta appreciate the irony of that.......
