According to a Bloomberg report from January 6, 2012, Payroll growth in the U.S. beat forecasts in December and the unemployment rate dropped to the lowest level in almost three years as the economy gained strength heading into 2012.
Just wondering if this decrease in available workforce has affected employers looking to hire? Or if you've seen a decrease in applications for open positions? As a Recruiter in the bay area http://bit.ly/y9wFy3 , we have had an increase in demand for talent but have not had trouble finding qualified and available candidates for our open reqs and these are located anywhere Nationwide. One talentpool does seem to have a shortage in candidates; we've noticed an increase in demand for high level software developers with skills such as Sharepoint, but a decrease in applicants. |
