So, parents can sue over their poor parenting techniques and not keeping an eye on their kids?

What fantastic news for people failing at being parents.

If they win such a ridiculous case, when the fault is on them for lack of attention... As it could have easily been the result from coffee intake had she drank a large one-- The world is truly screwed.

Sickening and pathetic they think they should sue Monster... If only the parents could sue themselves.

Blimey, 48 ounce of Monster within 24 hours? I believe 48 ounce of coca cola wouldn't leave me in the best condition either,, not that I would really consider to drink that much of it.

In parts I share your opinion, Kate. Parents can probably blame a lot of people when loosing one of their beloved ones, but the more objective bodies like lawyers should be expected to make more sensible decisions and not accept such a lawsuit. If they do, then I can think of many more lawsuits for other companies in the food and beverage company such as McDonalds for their fatty burgers and no warning sign for obesity, beverage companies producing alcohol - I mean where's the warning sign here, like don't drink more than 2 litre of vodka at once as it might kill you, candy industry - I'm missing the warning sign for people with diabetes and so on. So, this would come out a bit of ridiculous and I believe our nutrition does influence our health, but we can still decide on our own what we eat and should be able to know how much of something we can possibly eat.
