What I don't understand is I pay both property and school taxes, have no kids and do it anyway? Why do welfare and food stamp recipients get a tax-credit for the numerous kids they breed? Yet, I pay $2,500 and have no children!!! I don't get a tax-break for NOT having kids, why do people in the system earn money each year for their kids instead of using that money to pay back the food and section 8 they get and school I pay for..Just a thought.
To your question, jokingly think about the refunds they get each year, 10-15 thousand dollars cuz they breed and live off your money thru the government, DISGUSTING isn't statement enough honestly! ALL IS WRONG! For those who do NOT help themselves, the government will take yours and share with those who do NOT help themselves, and many who do illegal things while they collect yours! Thus I state again - ALL IS WRONG!

His 40k doesn't even cove rthe cost of educating his FIVE kids in the DHS system, it would be close to 60k. So he is about 20k short. I say send him abil for the difference!
Wow, for that kind of money he could send his kids to private school, get a better education and still have money left over for a nice trip to the beach. Time for a voucher system.

Any experience with tax appeal services? I found a flayer at local grocery store, they have a website myhousetax.com and let you check free is your property qualifies for appeal. I tried and I was told that my property tax is uniform and they can't lower my tax (no "comparables" were found), and I should check with them when my township opens.

Is this true or it is a scam? Do you really have to wait for that. What are the comparables?

There isn't much you can do about your property-tax rate, which is set by your local government. But homeowners can often get their assessment lowered if they appeal to their local assessor. That can translate into a lower tax bill.
