no the dry wall is not finished yet no the building is not dryed in yet and the date of finish is a dream of the contractor and the new banker who needs to get a good look at the structure. iam for improving orlando , so whats the rush on condos and yes ,if i had 450k i would move out of orlando , i live here and work at 55 west have you ever seen a hotel with a dryer and washer in the room . and the nite clubs in orlando are the real pit of orlando some of these buildings are from florida cracker days .just think open up your east side sliding glass door and your looking at the roof of the out side bar next door . until 2pm ,or at 4am every day the train barrels by and at four or fives a day nice condo . i know i want to spend my last days on earth at 55 west . but best thing about orlando is they shut your electric of after you move in a month or so as no one pays there bills , this is a great way to help save up money to help pay your morgage payments each month , lets build but lets think what do we need in orlando .we need industrial plants more people, smaller roads a subway to disney for the vacationers ,and build a condo for the homeless . so opd can use the upper floors for the new jail close to downtown call it the 55 west hotel jail for the needy .

Travel to the Northeast and you will see plenty of NO DEVELOPMENT Cities. GO LIVE THERE AND SHUT UP!!!
The only way a city develops is through growth. Everyone wants a job but criticizes anytime a business gets a tax break or incentive. Yet you fools boo hoo when there are no jobs. WHO SHOULD CREATE THEM>>>THE DARN GOVERNMENT!!! Typical Liberals!!! The government produces NOT ONE GOOD OR SERVICE and only has money that it takes from the private sector and your earnings!!! But idiots like you will cry and whine the government should do this and I should get this..Bullcrap. Get off your butt and develop something! Yes this developer was foreclosed on and hopefully the new one brought in will succeed. It only helps the community when projects succeed for if they do not it sends a message to many potential developers that Orlando cannot sustain new developments and business. Which will DESTROY the local economy and reputation. Then all you "know it alls" will cry to the Government.."I CANNOT FIND A JOB or WHAT IS THE GOVERNMENT GOING TO DO FOR ME???" Grow Up and stop acting like brats. I love when I hear others say we should invest more in schools (the biggest rip off in history) or (more money for roads or infrastructure)..my answer is for what..if your city if dying WHO CARES!!! Wake up and stop viewing business as the enemy..they are the Engine you need to find and sustain work..without them unemployment would soar!!! And do not give me "RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CRAP" any venture is risky and can fail. It helps best when your community stands behind you hoping for your success. Growth is the only way to increase your tax base and increase revenue for schools and roads without increase money coming in all your PUBLIC EXPENDITURES become a MASSIVE LIABILITY and CAN ONLY BE SUSTAINED BY INCREASING TAXES which takes more money out of YOUR POCKET! Another deluded government should fix all ignoramus!

They've revitalized their downtown / riverfront area in the past 10ish years to where it really sparkles today. And it's still being worked on. Their classic baseball field is right downtown on the railcar line, Beale Street is a huge draw for annual conventioneers, food and music festivals keep it vibrant, etc. But Orlando has such competition in all of these areas, it's hard to get a toe hold for anything new to catch on. So let me ask the crowd: what do you prefer downtown to look line in 10 or 20 years, and what can I do now (in this depressed new construction environment) to make money?
