You still are not coming up with rational solutions. You still are labeling everyone and not very bright.
The most 'rational' solution I came up with was in my comment with regards to people like you, who refuse to take responsibility for their actions.

You feel like you were 'preyed' upon...yet you signed all the documentation.

I suggested that people who feel your way, submit to arbitration.

If it's found in arbitration, that YOU were the one who was most negligent in your dealings, then your RIGHT to sign paper work, enter into contracts, and negotiate deals/loans...is REVOKED FOR LIFE....since you're not mature enough to recognize YOUR obligation for personal responsibility.

Left up to me, I wouldn't allow you to hold a library card! You're not responsible and mature enough.

Arbitration is usually setup to favor the lender and to skirt the law. A trial by jury might be acceptable.

Regarding maturity and responsibility, maturity means no more future growth so I take that as a compliment. I realize that I am heading forward and taking out all the corrupted free market dealings at the same time. It is time to add responsibility to the lending industry.

Just like pornography is dedicated to a mature audience, subprime mortgages are no better. You can eliminate them both and they would not interfere with my goals in life.

Never done this myself contacting someone from the Federal Reserve. There is a form for submitting at the below link.
http://www.federalreserve.gov/feedback.cfm

It has pull-down selections for policy, regulations and the like. If anyone replies back would be a different hurdle to jump.

This whole thing is a joke, because homeowners can not be forclosed on , only people who are loanpayers-the people that don't own their houses can be forclosed on. It's all sales hype from the president and the private federal reserve bank. They are the ones who helped sucker all the stupid people into thinking that taking out a loan is homeownership, but in reality the mortgage companies bundle up a package of motgages and sold them to foriegn investors, mainly the Chinese. The home you live in is probably owned by a Chinaman or Japanese, you will never know who owns your home until you actually pay for it. For the time being, our government has taken the responsibility to ensure the Chinese get their money back.

no no no. Take your money out of the banks and buy gold, stock up the basement, get solar panels and an electric car and wait for the depression to end
Wait a minute..

Each of those investments (food, solar, gold, EV) are likely to yield a better ROI than anything else I've heard to date.

P.S. You'll need to keep some money in the bank to pay monthly expenses. Internet, water/sewer, food, etc.

Oh well. A foreclosure only stays on your credit four 7 years. Thats where I'll be in about 4 months if my place doesn't sell.

At least I will finally have the chance to get the hell out of South Florida.

No.

Us being in Iraq...and a few other BRILLIANT moves by this administration....is the ONLY thing preventing fuel from being $6+/gallon now....Syria, Iran, and Lybia from HAVING A NUKE....Iran invading Iraq, and 100 MILLION people from starving.

The 'situation' is bad. But it could have been TONS worse.

Want to know what life would be like had it been worse? Fine...elect a stupid democRAT!

This administration hasn't made any brilliant moves. Ever. They are an absolute embarrassment to conservatives everywhere.

Since the government seems intent on throwing billions of dollars at this maybe they should buy up the loans. At that point refi them all in to a fixed 50 yr mortgage to keep payments low. The stipulation on those loans would be that they can't be refinanced again and home equity lines can't be used. It might teach people some responsibility as well as allow people to keep their homes.

Thank you for proving to everyone reading this thread...what a socialist minded complete financial idiot you are.

First...you 'criticize' the open market policies of the administration, then you advocate making some pie-in-the-sky loan package available (which isn't even available to the BEST of credit scoring clients) as an idea of a solution.

It's a good thing that nobody listens to you.

Why don't you just mandate that "all doctors aren't allowed to own anything more than a $14,000 car and a $150k house"...as part of a 'health care costs solution'

or

No politician is allowed to make anything more than minimum wage....

You idiots really have no idea what runs your country.....and it shows.

You don't read well do you? My first choice would be that nothing be done, but I don't think there's any chance of that. Could you point out where I criticized any open market policies? I own a business and tend to be Libertarian so I'm not sure where you're getting these ideas. Were you aware that your comparisons aren't related at all to what I suggested? Try to read prior to spouting stupidity.

That was NOT your 'first' choice...as evidenced by your FIRST SENTENCE in what I replied to.....

You wrote..and I QUOTE:

"Since the government seems intent on throwing billions of dollars at this maybe they should buy up the loans. At that point refi them all in to a fixed 50 yr mortgage to keep payments low."

Your FIRST suggestion was a 'government sponsored/paid for' one.

So...maybe you should re-read what you write before you make a stupid quip back on my comments....

My God you're dumb. I assumed you noticed where i mentioned it was only a recommendation " since the govt seems intent on throwing billions of dollars at this". If I didn't think a bailout was going to happen no matter what then I wouldn't have bothered suggesting anything. Did you reread what the idiotic comparisons you posted? Have you found any way to relate them to what I said? Morons like you make conservatives look bad.

I just love the way you 'say' that you 'said' things you never did.

You'd make a good liberal democRAT.

You've managed to duck every point I made. I quoted my own post to point out what I said. Please go fill some other thread with stupidity. You lost this one long ago.
