But what about the LEAST affordable gay-friendly neighborhoods ?! What if I'm a multi-millionaire and want to build a 487 acre compund with 70 foot high walls for privacy ?! Where can I do that that's in a gay-friendly neighborhood ?!

I heard that Uganda has some affordable neighborhoods for gays.

Then there is always Iran.

Back on topic, this survey is full of crap because it makes an invalid assumption: The census bureau records the number of gay couples living together by census tract. It does not and has no way to count gay couples not living together and gay singles. One cannot assume the number of gay people in an area varies directly in proportion to the number of gay couples. In areas with older gay populations (think Palm Springs / Key West), more of the people are likely to be coupled and conversely. In areas with dense, small square-footage living quarters, more of the gay people are likely to be single and vice-versa. I also strongly believe the likelihood of gays forming successful couple relationships varies greatly by region, with regions hostile to gay probably having more of the gay population in couples (the singles cannot find anyone and people who stay there need the support of a relationship for protection). On the other hand, gay-friendly areas act as a magnet for couples as well. I'd place a bet that those with the highest proportion of gay singles are places which are gay-friendly on paper and by law but where staights don't mingle much with gays in reality.
