OUT OF LINE: What do the university presidents do for such high salaries? No wonder it's hard for kids to pay for college.

Now is the time for casinos - yes and more crime and then we can build more prisons that will be good for the economy.

I find it amusing that the subject of Casinos is coming up again. By all accounts due to the poor economy Casinos over our border are not doing well. The groups that are interested in building Casinos here are scaling back any building plans drastically.

The boat to make a profit on Casinos sailed, to jump in now when it won't do much good for the economy except for construction jobs and will not fill the accounts to save any jobs or services now or in the very near future.

Our elected idiots need to be looking at where they can cut the waste such as per diem.

Agree. University Presidents' salaries are too high.

Now when is the Sun going to give us a list of the obnoxious salaries that the local corporate CEOs get- including bonuses, stock options , golden parachutes, etc.

Never, because corporate greed, waste, salaries , perks , leased cars are all hands off.

Just bash the government and public sector all the time , never touch the CEOs.

No Lowell Sun reporter would bring it to Campininni.

Your kidding right...do you really not understand that we (taxpayers) are paying people in the public sector. As consumers, we do not have to give our business to irresponsible companies in the private sector. A private company can pay whatever it wants...I don't care.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Sagittarius

Be careful about what you eat and drink today, my prancing Archer. Your body is in a sensitive state, so be well advised and steer clear of anything that might upset you, or to which you're sometimes allergic. Avoid anyone who's a one-man germ factory, in case a few bugs happen to jump out and over to you. Right now, you could do without it.
