Left there about 7:30 you could not walk through the mall area due to all the gangs of kids standing around in large groups . Last time we will be there at night

It's sooo scary anymore!! A place , where you are supposed to be able to go and enjoy yourself, and your family and where it's suppose to be safe, isn't safe at all anymore!! It's a shame!! I'm paying for the one who was shot!!

I've been working at Easton for years now, and have been watching it's decline. I'm really not surprised, but it's sad to see it all the same.

This is a complete shock to Easton as well as it's staff as an empolyee of the town center once I heard about tonight incident I was in shock. I'm sure Easton Mall sercurity and CPD will do a better job in protecting shoppers as the spring and summer seasons vastly approach.

I think that's a shame. Why do these kids do this to each other. I call it the new Northland mall.

I will lay heavy odds this was a "gang thang" and that somebody dissed somebody else--which means you shoot them in that culture. Easton is dangerous and no one should ever go there with their family. It is the Northland of the 21st century. Stay away if you are not looking for trouble. This is just the beginning.

There is a lot of violent crime that happens at Easton, but you only hear about the big incidents like this because Wexner pays off the media to not run stories about Easton's gang problems and assaults.

So is it safe to assume the victim was a child since he or she was taken to Children's Hospital? How sad. Like all the other nice places in Columbus, thugs and ghetto rats have now descended on Easton.

just a side note, my wife LOVES Easton, we go there every weekend, we were there tonight and honestly, it's going to be hard for me to get her to go back.

I had told her how bad it can get during the weekend nights and she never believed me she's shook up by this. Very unfortunate.

Dee3, I completely agree with you. I used to shop and dine and go to the movies at Easton regularly from the time it opened until about 5 years ago. The place is absolutely overrun with kids all weekend, all hours. Every parent knows, with kids comes kid-drama. Now, I never ever go to Easton on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday for any reason.

We just left from having dinner at Abuelos- sitting next to the window while eating we saw the cars go by, helicopter overhead and then groups of people starting to gather. Easton has gone downhill a lot- but I wouldn't have expected this.

I live in a small town not all that far from Columbus and it's gotten to the point that I avoid the entire metro area like the plague.
