Fair compsensation for public sector workers MUST be FAIR TO ALL.

I am bursting with pride after Michigan voted to protect current and future generations. The Publ Empl Unions cannot be allowed to buy union funding operatives who pretend to be Democrats at election time.
It's not fair to every one else.

California let it happen. Now the State has thousands and thousands of the most expensive Publ Empl Union contracts in American History.
Many of the Contracts amount to two to five TIMES the national average for the same jobs.

In San Diego, a City Librarian retired at 59 with a $289,000 per year unfunded pension plus benefits.

In Modesto, a mid size rural city, the Supt of Schools just retired with a $303,000 per year tax slave funded pension. The Public Employee makes ZERO contribution to their retirement. It's all on every one else.

There are tens of thousands just like these.

THANK GOD Michigan stood up for their children and grand children. California is leaving over $500,000,000,000 (and, counting!) of these extravagant entitlements on the back of their own kids.

Tonight, Michigan parents can look their children in the eyes.
Public Employees do not deserve a Lottery style, unfunded, bonanza at the expense of their hard working neighbors.

Fair Compensation is affordable Compensation which is Fair to Everyone in Michigan.

I would suggest that some serious research take place before you paint all public employees with the same broad brush. I dare say that many, if not most, public eployees' pensions are structured much like the Grand Rapids employees' pensions are, by contributions from the employees. And there is not even the slightest resemblance between the pension fund and the Lotto, which is a gambling scheme foisted on the people of Michigan (and other states)by the politicians who so glibly convinced the voters that Lotto is a good program for all. That program is completely separate from any pension funds.

Go to Wikipedia and research the State Emp. Union practice of "Pension Spiking" in the Blue States like NY and CA.

Unions, like every one else, must have someone to negotiate with who has to pay for it.
Franklin D Roosevelt refused to Unionize govt workers because he said politicians....from either Party.... might sell every one out for union support. The Civil Service System was far less political and it worked for decades.

Once again the republicans get the wrong message from an election. I did not vote for the union bill because it was a constitutional amendment and ONLY because it was a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. There are tens of thousands of others who voted against it becuse it was a constitutional amendment. If this bill passes without the possibility of a referendum by the voters the gop will have cut their own throats for 2014 and will furthermore support those calling snyder and the gop dictators. I should add I do not nor have I ever belonged to a union but I do support them, the pay and working conditions they helped aquire for all workers just didnt think the bill needed to Amend the constitution. Also The Intelligence Institute a conservative non-profit org. conducted a study and found that conservative fox news viewers have an average IQ of 80. The national average is 100 and mental disability is 70. See which one they are closer to? That is the reason why the gop keeps electing idiots who continue to give tax dollars to the wealthy. In other words a conservative fox news viewer could be declined a raise by his/her boss and the next election cycle vote to give the same boss a corporate welfare raise.

Do you really think re-electing Obama meant Americans have given up? If jobs and prosperity mattered to the non Union middle class they would have elected Romney.

Do you think some of the Protestors are being paid by Right to Work States because they are the biggest Jobs WINNERS if Michigan loses to the Unions?

No I think you're nuts. Studies done by Independant orginzations have found that right to work states have lower wages, lower living standards, slower wage growth, low IQs, unsafe working conditions and high rates of people on welfare. You're entitled to deny the truth all you want and I'm free to live outside of your fairy tale world.

IT just shows that Snyder cares about Michigan!

Unions might get dinged a little but, it is for the overall good of Michigan.

By the way could one of you Union workers pass me a screwdriver?.........No...WTF.

Unions had there place and time, now they actually hurt all non-union workers.

Most are lazy and have jobs because they can't get fired, they have effectively bargained themselves into a joke!

We all know it, and it is smart moves like this that will get Snyder re-elected!

You have every right to try to live in the past when Unions were a Good Thing. Now every one knows Unions are so greedy that they just destroy business and drive them into Bankruptcy.

For more on the Unions impact on American business google the Steel Industry, the Garment Industry, or..oh yeah...the Auto Industry

The unions brought all of this on themselves.
Snyder even said he did not want this.
But the unions went ahead with proposal's 2 & 4.
Snyder warned them that their actions could lead to this.
You reap what you sow.
This time the union's bit themselves.
