How ironic...

The same rich clay from an area in which Pfaltzgraff built an empire, whose family subsequently turned around and sh!t on, could soon be used to produce kitty litter.

Arm & Hammer actually starts out at $15 per hour. That's a lot better than most places.

What concerns me here is they are attempting to secure state funding for this??? I own a business and can not and would not want to get any taxpayer money to start my business. Look at the money they made in the first quarter! You are telling me that they need our taxpayer dollars and/or tax credits to do this?? C'mon as consumers we pay more and more in taxes while these big businesses get more and more breaks because the promise to create jobs. I employ 4 people, where is my break? My expenditures have increased 17% since the election and my profits are down even more...
I'm all for creating jobs, but I'm just not sure about using taxpayer dollars to do it. Responsible businesses should be able to invest their own money and assume their own risk, just like a small business does.

I firmly agree with you sir. It's sad that the guys with the most money get the biggest breaks. You are upset that they are looking for cheap money to add a kitty litter
operation. Just think about all the freebies they got just to come here in the first place. There have been lots of companies who came to York and when there freebies ran
out left York. That crap is unamerican in my book and a little guy such as yourself
can't get any. Part of capitalism sucks something awful but it the American way,
right of wrong.

I love Arm & Hammer's Products. I am glad they came to Pa. This is definately going to give the people some hopes of staying afloat. What they need to do is open an outlet at their plant just like Martin's Chips, Utz, Snyders, Stauffer's Cookies, etc. They would do well.

Hey just because they will not hire you, that's no reason not to buy their products. It sounds like you have issues. That's what a small child say when they can't have their own way. Grow up Joe! You'll never get a good job with that kind of attitute. I am sure Arm & Hammer was pretty picky about who they hired and probably are still weeding the lazy one out of their factory.

I guess you just didn't have the right qualifications they were looking for to get hired. They very particular in who they hired.

That is so hard to believe that they fired people due to those nasty snowstorms we had. If I am correct they advised people not to even attempt to go anywhere not unless it was an emergency or if you were someone important like a physician or higher up. Also my mom passed away during the snowstorm & we had to cancel her funeral & made other arrangements for just a memorial service in May 2010. So whoever told you that must had taken off numerous times & probably was on the brink of being terminated.
