Changes, cost-cutting shoring up shaky Pier 1

I don't think your manager means to make you feel that way, but I think they are under so much pressure that they don't realize how their attitudes are effecting the associate's morale. Now they HAVE to be in the office at least 1 whole shift knowing the sales floor is suffering with all the product taking every square inch out there. There is never enough time or space to make it any better. I cringe every time a wheelchaired person comes through the door. Something needs to be done with all the clearance furniture or stop sending us more new furniture. It just doesn't fit out there.

Its funny you mention the wheelchair thing because I also want to stick my head in the ground when I see one.Its a crappy situation.Sometimes I feel like calling someone myself.

Sad thing is who do you call? No one cares. Just get it out. I worry about the fire marshall seeing the stockroom. There's no room back there with all the product that comes in, but can't go out. How can we sell it if you can't even get it out on the floor?
