Like Fitchburg, communities keep hiring people and creating new departments, and then look at increasing taxes because they can not support these positions.

they will probably give him a take home vehicle like they have with many other town employees.

I'm sure that this gentleman is well qualified for the position, and wish him the best.

I even understand the cost savings of outsourcing custodial work, even though it cost people there jobs.

O.K. We have a new builing that needs to be cleaned, It's not rocket science here, pay someone to perform the service and if they fail to do so, fire them,,then you pay the highway department to clear the snow,,,,and the job is done.

Who was responsable for dealing with outside contractors in the past (was it a custodians)? and if not, why can't the person who has been doing this job handle this new task.

If you gave that person some of the new custodial allowance saved, then you have one less employee to provide a salary and benefits for.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
