Being faster in therapeutic effects may have its benefits regarding treatment, although this may also mean that the rate of side effects may also be accelerated. Any medication both has benefits and risks, it's daunting to know how fast the risks may take effect from a quick-action drug. Fosamax, on the other hand, has been linked to adverse effects that take about a couple of years prior to becoming evident. Just an additional input: according to various medical references, osteoarthritis is the most common cause of musculoskeletal pain and disability in the knee joint. It has been approximated that 12 percent of Americans aged 25 years and above have clinical signs and symptoms ofosteoarthritis. like Fosamax, Actonel has many side effects which may be harmful to the user. People are filing a lawsuit for that reason. http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com

There are federal cases pending against Merck in which plaintiffs claim that taking Fosamax caused them to develop a rare problem called osteonecrosis of the jaw. Dental surgery is one of the triggers for the condition that can break down jawbone tissue, causing the gums to fall away and expose bone that looks moth-eaten.
