Home Depot will make back all that money when channel 7 starts hyping up every storm that comes off the coast of Africa.

Home Depot has been in a slide for a few years. They only hire uneducated HS drop outs that don't know a hammer from a crack pipe. I used to love the company, now I cringe every time I have to go there. The org owners sold out and now some idiot Harvard educated "bean counter" is running the show. Great job!

I must agree with those who say the service and competitive pricing has gone to hell. I used to buy most everything for the house at Home Depot, but the service is so wretched that I haven't shopped there for two years. I pay a few cents more and shop at the smaller, service oriented retailers.

Home Depot is following the road of HQ, Builders Square and Central Hardware. They stoppped caring about the customer and only about the bottom line.

You read my mind. Why till June 1st and all the storms that mysteriously form in the Atlantic, I am sure they will do 2 or 3 good scares this year for the stock of Home Depot to go up.

Actually, since the state changed how gift cards are used, that's what has caused the decline. No longer do they have the privilege of making money off the gift cards with all those fees and deductions. Plus with prices going up, everyone has finally gone through all their drawers and pockets to find the cards with the store credit and now they have all been used up.

They dederve to fail. They gave their outgoing CEO a golden parachute - I think it was $86 million, but they won't hire enough help. The Board of Directors basically said, who cares will give this rich old fart $86 million because we have tons of money, and nobody will notice.

They actually gave him 210 million plus lifetime healthcare, paid for vehicles, and rennovated his mansion for him before he left the company. Can't really get cheesed at him, he took what they gave, but the entire board of directors should be tarred and feathered. They have ruined the company.

The stores are being run by the "Keystone Cops" with a little less finesse. Employee morale is in the toilet, customers are pissed off, short staffing is a way of life. All the idiots know how to do is cut cost. Pretty soon they will have to cut themselves for the company to remain viable. Thank goodness we have a small True Value in our neighborhood and they are GREAT to deal with.

Bye Bye Home Depot. It has been a fun ride. Now it is more fun watching the wheels leave the tracks. The crash is in slow motion so everyone can see everything.

Yeah, and they're all made in China. It should be called "China Depot".
