Many clients who lose do. Most of them are unsuccessful.

I agree! She doubled their sales and then they go and fire her ... that doesn't make good business sense. Obviously, she was doing something right. Shame on Marriott.

Hold on here. This case may go on for years due to appeals. Winning the judgement and collecting the money are two seoerate issues. It's only when you work for the Gvt. do you have a chance of collecting. People in the private sector always are at a disadvantage.

From the article, it doesn't sound like Marriott (corporate) fired Charlotte, it was Columbia Sussex Corp.(the franchisee).

It's typically the franchisee that directly manages the staff in these types of contracts.

This defendant is quite collectable, and I dont know where you people get the idea that jury verdicts are commonly reversed on appeal, but that is not accurate.

What a HORRIBLE way to treat a human being....it is just disgusting. I will make it a point to NOT stay at any Columbia Sussex owned hotel......and I wish others would do the same. If many people followed suit that would hurt Columbia Sussex much more than having to pay the award to this poor lady.

Congratulations, Charlotte!
Your win against the Marriott is a win for all of us "oldsters" who have so much more to contribute but whose civil rights are being violated every day because of our dates of birth. Your courage and commitment gives hope to all of us fighting exactly the same fight at major corporations throughout the United States. Look at the website JobVent.com . Marriott is in very distinguished company.
Happy Labor Day to you.
And many, many thanks!

Don't get mad, get even and the best way to do that is to demand enforcement of the laws that are already on the books. That's the job of the EEOC and the EEOC is starting to look seriously at age discrimination in New York.
Jump on the bus! You'll be in good company!
All the best,

I do not know why MARRIOTT CORP. continue to do business with COLUMBIA SUSSEX. Columbia Sussex is a very bad company and treat employees really bad. I suggest that we all work together to change this, if you are traveling make sure you do not stay at a Columbia Sussex property. Columbia Sussex has fired another female employee who has worked at Memphis Marriott after 18 years of service for no reason. She is 61 years old. This company has not given a raise to it's employees in over 3 years. They fired all but 1 or 2 of it's original workers. Mr.Yung does not care about any of this he said "his only goal is to make money." He knows what Clayton and Finley both are doing.

SO why didnt she just get another job at another hotel with that kind of experience. No she had to descrace herself and cost the rest of america from stealing this money from the company. That is the pure transparent , unbiased truth. Why do we continue to allow this kind of behavior here. Everyone wants something for nothing. This is a perfect example f a reseason why this country has financial difficulties. We all pay!!
