Mahu, if everybody took your advice we would all be working for peanuts in a 3rd world country.

Nothing comes free. Even the freedom that we enjoy was hard fought for by people willing to scarifice their lives.

Fact is even our free market needs to be protected by the government, that's why we have import/export taxes and subsidies.

Sometimes in life you need to take a stand and fight for your rights. If not for yourself then for your children. I teach my children to stand up for their rights. Do you?

Staying Hawaii, the thing that impressed me the most wasn't the weather, but how nice everyone is. Even the hotel workers. They were happy to see you. Any company would be lucky to have these people working for them. I wish the workers the best of luck.

Why has no one ever answered my question?

This hotel made its employees go 10 years without a raise, fired 30 people, and raised housekeepers' workload to 19 rooms a day -- all BEFORE the boycott! I guess Doug Kometani's strategy is for workers to just lay down, spread their legs and let management do whatever they want.

The union's motto is "an injury to one is an injury to all." I guess Doug Kometani's motto is "as long as I have my job, who cares about anybody else?"
