My son has had 3 DWI'S over a period of several years. The last one was in 1999, and was put on 10 years probation, served 90 days in jail, 250 hours of community service,4,000 dollars in fines plus attorney fee. He recently got stopped for speeding and being out of the county. He was not drinking, but violated his probabtion. He has not drank in several years, went to AA almost daily, has alway's worked hard, was in the first gulf war, and 5 years ago opened his own business. Because of parole violation he was given 5 years in prison. He realizes he violated his probation, but I as his mother feel that the 5 year sentence was too harsh. He was a big part of his community, very good father and provider. So now he will most likely lose his business as he is not there to run it, he and his wife own their home, so she will have to try and keep up house payments and taxes on her salary. Now this officer who has gotten a 2nd DWI will only get a slap on the wrist. I am alway's hearing about our county and elected officials getting numerous DWI's and never serving one day in jail. Why is that they can break the law, but the normal citizen cannot, or you must have a lot of money to pay a judge off. If this officer was to get a 3rd DWI in the future, he would most likley not serve anytime, and only get a few days off of work with no pay. WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS IN OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM. IT ONLY WORKS FOR A SELECTED FEW, THE REST ARE OF NO CONCERN TO ANYONE.

I do not approve of driving drunk. But I will say that everyone that gets a DUI/DWI is not drunk in my opinion. The blood alchol level to be charged is to low. I got a DUI when I was 20. I was not over the legal limit but was underage so any alchohol was to much. Had I been pulled over 23 days later when I turned 21 I would have not gotten into trouble. I was with my dad and legally aloud to drink in Texas but not drive. Nothing will happen to this cop. And if he has been arrested twice it makes you wonder how many times he has gotten away with it because he was a cop. He might be on DUI 5 if he was held to the same standards as us. I wonder if he has the thing you breath into to start your car? They sure dont mind sticking us with it.

Did the first DWI arrest make the news? Why is this bum on administrative leave? He should have been fired after the first DWI arrest!!!

This is obviously a common issue with this officer, I think he should get the same punishments as any Joe Blow on the streets. How many has he arrested for the same thing? But I forgot who wears the badge! Ooops.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Across the country impaired police officers are enforcing The Law. Few departments routinely conduct random drug testing. The police are a mirror of society. These little social transgressions are tolerated if not encouraged.

Can some one please get this fool off our street before he kills someone. Truly his is giving our hardworking police officers a bad name. Not to mention putting lives in danger.

This is a load of bull. Why does this man still have a drivers license. Because he is a police officer is why. Normal everyday joes loose there license before they get out of jail for DWI.Celebrities get a slap on the hand for DWI'S. THE LAW SHOULD BE THE SAME FOR EVERYONE IT APPLIES TO!

This is ridiculous! Police officers get away with more and more everyday. Its not fair and I just wonder when we will have a "fair" system. HA! I doubt i will live to see the day.

Face it folks, it is coming to a point in which you are going to have to start defending yourself from the ones that are supposed to protect us.

If you do not believe it, just look at the national news...almost daily, a Peace Officer is involved in some type of criminal activity.

I got stopped in Denison New Years weekend end for (speeding?) I was in a 45 MPH zone doing 48 to 50 MPH. The Trooper stopped me ask what was with my rear license plate, I said old I guess. The plate has a clear film pealing off from it. Anyway he asked for my license and proof of insurance all the time almost hanging his head in the window trying to smell alcohol. I had had nothing to drink so there was nothing to smell, he just used this as an excuse to stop me and hope he could charge me with DWI. Instead he wrote me a warning the stated driving over 45. What a joke, he must be the laughing stalk of his barricks. I am an X-police officer and if I had ever given someone a ticket or a warning for three to five over I would have been marked as a fool, a badge heavy idiot.

Should have lost his J O B the first time he got a DWI. PERIOD.

His job works to prevent it, not to practice it. Would you want to Doctor to operate on you drunk or just after drinking? NO YOU WOULDN'T, WOULD YOU?

FIRE HIM NOW! BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! AND SOMEONE DIES!
