Agmc has not thought this threw. Letting go of 6 out of 9 sr techs on the maternity floor what was they thinking. This is going to back fire on them. I am just glad I am not having a baby soon. The care will be awful, and they are trying to get MAGNET STATUS ya right,,,,,, not a chance.... Sorry for all the people who have been displaced due to the layoffs. They layed off the valet Car parkers and Friday night they had to have a tech do it WHAT !!!!!!! How is this thinking things threw.. And it's only been a couple of days can't wait to see the trickle affect in a couple months,,,, I know I would not go their again....

During our friday staff meeting, what we were tol dis rather different then whats being reported. We were told that at this time "no management level positions are being layed off". I pity the RNs, techs and transporters, ect that lost their jobs. It seems AGMC values their useless Vice Presidents that do nothing over their hard working staff. We have how many VP's that make six figures? Yeah too many. Fire that Steve Abdenour, a-hole does nothing but harrass employees.

I find this so disturbing that they let these people go right ofter MAGNET leaves... They have worked countless hours telling their staff exactly what and how to say things. What about people having and telling their OWN THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS.. Not at Akron General not if you wanna keep your job...Tim Stover says that it will not affect patient care....well here's the break down you get rid of 4 Techs on 2400/3100 why because the RN can do the work of two people, and they are over budget because 3100 was a FLOP.... You get rid do 9 wound center RN' S they were not needed apparently. In pharmacy they let go of 6 they are already terrible at getting medications up to floors... HELLO HOW IS ALL THIS NOT AFFECTING PATIENTS.......Akron General just looked at the numbers and magnet status that is all they care about not their employees. SHAME OF THEM...... And way to go AGMC RN for not being afraid to speak out I sure do hope a lot of other people would come forward and speak their mins THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY RIGHT ....

The truth is management cannot and will not do the jobs that the RN's do. It will all come back and bite them in the <&^%8 when the powers to be realize that AGMC is top heavy. That is where they need to cut the budget instead of voting themselves raises that they cannot afford. The question to ask is how much of a raise is their CEO receiving for cutting down on the bottom line at the expense of quality patient care. Shame on AGMC.
