With lawsuits piling up worldwide, DePuy should duly address the hip replacement problems encountered by its clients. It is also best that they would disseminate more information about defective hip replacement symptoms so that the patients would be given immediate medical attention. Awareness of this recall by those who are not even yet affected by these problems is necessary. The absence of these symptoms is not an indication that the implant has not failed or is not affecting the health of the user. Thus, it is imperative that every individual who have received a DePuy ASR Hip Implant contact their physician for reevaluation, despite feeling no problems with the device. These lawsuit are only the ones filed in the United States. The Depuy hip replacements were sold worldwide meaning that the number of these lawsuits doesn't reflect all the patients affected by this recall. And even in the United States, there could be more people who yet not experienced problems, but at least they should be aware of the problems associated with them. Patients with these implants should not neglect any symptoms and should turn to their doctors the moment they notice irregularities or problems caused by their implants.
http://www.defectivehip.org/ presents the usual problems with these implants and also offers legal help if necessary.

ABUSED BY DEPUY NOW ABUSED BY ATTORNEYS

Both my son and I have had our lives damaged by defective, hip implants. The Depuy, metal on metal and the Stryker, metal on ceramic. After having suffered at the hands of these manufacturers now we are expected to be content with the small settlements that will be negotiated by Depuy attorneys and greedy Injury Attorneys in the Multi-district litigation. We are being barraged by law firms that have no intention of litigating on our behalf according to our unique damages but rather will get rich by the huge quantity of clients they snag and bring into the settlement matrix that will be set up at the one case that will be used to prove Depuy's liability. Great for Depuy and all the attorneys but not so great for the patients. There must be other alternatives?

People may need to be aware that in addition to the hip replacement devices failing and requiring revision surgery, there is also a risk for metal poisoning in the blood and surrounding tissues from all-metal implants. The metal parts grind against each other, causing toxic metal shavings to become dispersed in the body. The metal poisoning, metallosis, might increase the risk of kidney and bladder cancers. If you or a loved one have experienced any of the complications associated with metal hip replacement parts, you may find helpful information at http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com

One among thousands of lawsuits pending against J&J went to trial last week. Several internal documents have been disclosed indicating design flaws and high failure rate associated with the company's ASR hip devices. Despite documented testimonies and evidence, J&J still denies allegations against them. We can only hope that the outcome would still be in favor of the complainants.
